4th of July
While there may be other parties and celebrations going on in people's backyards or others establishments, the town of Madison is throwing their own Fourth of July party for its residences. Taking place on a large area of grass that is dotted with trees for shade, a BBQ has been organised as well as some family-friend events throughtout the day.
There are American flag tattoos, stickers, and a variety of red, white, and blue apparel like hats and glasses if you want to add to whatever you wore to the event. There is also face painting for people - don't worry, you con't need to get a flag on your face. A cat is also super respectable. There is also a balloon-maker should you want something fun, but not on your face.
This event is technically a 'dry' event, but no one seems to be troubled if you brought your own alcohol to the event. You can find food vendors and barbecues set up on one side of the park as well as lemonade and ice cream. There is also a table of cupcakes with a sign that says "Happy Birthday Captain America" on it.
There will be live music throughout the day showcasing a variety of American music. When the sun goes down there will be light up toys, sparklers, and the city will have a fun fireworks display for everyone to enjoy. If you managed to drink too much, don't worry. Public transportation is free today.
