Having finished my last two claims it's once again time to pick a new claim. Since I'm currently dabbling in vampire fandoms - I've watched part of the first season of Vampire Diaries and the first episode of the Originals on top of kinda avoiding finishing Being Human season 2 - I figured I'd use that for my claim. I didn't want to limit myself to just tv shows though (somewhere in my mind there are vampire movies hiding aside from Interview with a Vampire and I didn't want to icon *just* vampires.

As such I defined my claim of 50 icons as "vampire movies & tv shows" :)

I don't think I'll add another claim since I'm all out of ideas. I also struggled with the last stretch of my previous claims, but didn't want to do the shorter claims either.

I'm proud to say that my first fanfiction posted to ff.net was posted on 26/May/2001 and I know I posted my first fic to a German message board (which was the only reason it got finished in comparison to the attempts I had gotten up to in the year or so before that -- mostly Star Trek Voyager attempts I think). I've read fanfictions even longer than that... I can't believe I've been in fandom over 10 years now.
Even more food for thought - the story with that posting date was written on a school trip (also my first English story) and the sequel to my first story was inspired there... so I guess my first finished story goes back to 2000 even.

My last 20in20 set this month since I dropped both my claims for scifipair20in20 on LJ. Despite loving the prompts, I just could not make myself think of my pairings. I think I'm not exactly made for pairing claims - although this one did work nicely. Maybe it's because the prompts were more general than especially for pairings.

Not that I would have dropped out of the challenge I mod when there are so few participants.

Also, *crosses fingers that I don't end up hitting enter on accident and post before I finish coding*

After the longest time, I've finally made some icons that aren't for an icontest of any kind :D It was really refreshing to just open batches of screencaps, sort through them for the ones I want to turn into icons before doing whatever.

Some of them are variations of colouring (fewer of textures), especially when I wanted a coloured and a b/w icon.

Also, these are my first Sanctuary icons :D

Since I'm posting any way... I might as well post something I have written for Sanctuary. I'm itching to become active in the fandom and sitting on fic isn't something I can do easily under those circumstances.

I was aiming for something longer, but suddenly realised I was at 99 words. I switch something around and got 100. I usually don't do drabbles, but when I already hit the perfect 100? Either way, I did write the (slighty) longer version as well... and it's posted right after.
