*Since there is no canon love interest for James Watson I was allowed to pick one. Since I'm a multishipper anyway, I tried to keep things close to canon.
The two pairings closest to canon for me are James/Helen and James/John for the simple fact that they have the longest history and the subtext speaks the most to me (especially about might have beens). Since I think it's more likely to see a het pairing rather than a slash one I went with James/Helen.
