I finished all 3 of my August claims in one go... and added some Being Human Icons made for dailyicons on DW. This makes for one giant icon post!

So, after finishing 2 out of 3 20in20s this month, I just had to sign up for another one. I really felt like doing it even if I've been lacking inspiration. A part of me feels that I tend to stay far too safe, going by the same routine for every icon. I think in this my main problem is actually picture choice, followed by going the safe route while making icons - after all I know I tend to like the result of my "standard" icon procedure. Still, being able to icon several different fandoms (even if I don't know all), did help in that regard.
Another part that helped was probably the "off-schedule" timing. The majority of 20in20s go from the 1st to the 20th and this one started on the 20th/21st. A time when my mind isn't pressuring me to just get those sets done :)
Now if only I could get those other things on my to-do list done! There are plenty of fics to post (but I'm still stuck at uploading old ones to Ao3) and a few more to type up and finish. I really need to take stock of which stories I have on my hard drive that are waiting to be posted.
And now I should get to the icons and quit rambling ;D

This was written for t_31_bang and already had to be extended for one round. I don't think that it's at it's best (the plot does tend to run wild a bit), but it could be far worse. If it wasn't due today I wouldn't be posting it yet and I hope that I'll be able to revise it shortly and replace this version with a better one.

I'm going to be spamming my flist with 7 new posts... but I fear if I try and split it over several days, I'll end up forgetting it. There is also a HP story that needs to be posted (in several parts), but I'll do that once I've got it completely beta read *glances at dani_meows to gauge a current status on that front*

Why has my computer to decided to be on the slow side today? Everything takes forever to load, Photoshop easily starting to slag... and me deciding to do the AC before the Category icons... I so did get distracted and had to close all screencaps so I wouldn't waste even more time (not that I won't eventually get back to those :D) when I'm practically running out of it. Not to mention that my goal of 2 sets in 6 hours turned into 1 set in 8 hours (because I couldn't decide which pictures, the sluggishness that made me take breaks to calm down and having to run around to find tissues)... and now I keep screwing up at typing... Update June 2013:
After reading about a case where someone abused the backdating feature on Ao3 to hide plagiarism @ stop_plagiarism @ livejournal.com, I figured I should check out more places where I might have posted my stories. Especially for those HP stories that are just on Ao3 due to the death of my website and don't have a hard date to pin them down! Then I remembered that I used to have (technically it's still there, just very much dead with the most recent post being from April 2008) mailing list. Anything with a "(yahoo groups)" in the link section is also at that yahoo group.
Update January 2019:
After six years, I'm finally back to writing. Well not writing directly - I've been doing that off and on. I just never typed up anything or got it ready for posting.
As part of that I actually updated the list with 20 stories I wrote back in August 2013. I have no idea why I never updated the Masterlist with them. Any new stories are marked accordingly.
I also moved the Marvel section as I wanted all of the movies under one category.

I recently made Harry Potter screencaps and as is my habit - I do share :D
The screencaps are 1024x576 and saved as .jpg. They were made with the auto-cap function of vlc and I sorted them down from a bit above 30,000 to 9,774 screencaps. Some scenes have enough screencaps left to possibly make animations.
You might think them usable or not - If so, yay for them being useful. If not, they're useful to me and that's plenty enough for me. I think there are plenty of other places for HP screencaps anyway :D
Anyway. There is one file with all of them and there are 5 separate files with parts of them. All files are .zip archives and uploaded to Megaupload. I'm willing/able to use different archive types and/or different upload sites as well. Just comment for that :)

Since I'm back to making screencaps (and I've got Sanctuary's Requiem done - it just needs to be sorted)... does anybody have any wishes? I once made a list of DVDs I own, but nothing current sadly. So I'll have to see if I have DVDs available.
