Remember, this is a special round, so, if you've finished a work of 5000 words or longer, you will receive fanart. This officially makes it a mini-Big Bang. Now, show us what you've got!

Hank tested on himself with Raven's DNA after she was caught by the CIA and is slowly turning into Beast. Alex is a hippie coming off the summer of love and is looking to make a life for himself with others in the Wilderness. Charles is collecting mutants, but because of an accident, he sends his sister out with their hired man, Erik, to find them.

This time we're going to try something different. There will be no prompts from which to choose. Instead, you will signup for this round with a plot of your own choosing in any fandom you want.

We will keep to the thirty-one day schedule. Without the week of prompting, there are now 27 days in which to write your stories. The minimum length is still the same, 5000 words.

All righty then, there have been no new prompts in several months. This leads me to the conclusion that this little venture has petered out. So, I have two options, shut'er down, or change the format.

I can't and won't change the fact that the challenge takes 31 days. I like that limit, it's the name of the asylum, and I'm priggish about this. What I will change, however, is how the challenge is presented.

A show of hands, who is in favor of having a normal mini-big bang challenge? By that, I mean you sign up, write whatever you want as long as it's 5000 words long, and then post on the last day of the challenge. There would be no prompts post, so no prompts to choose from. You, the author, just pledge to write a 5000 word fic, and then present it to us when done.

So, what say you, shut it down, or try a regular old mini-big bang? You have three days to respond or I default and lock this place up tight.
