Normally Fred'd ask George about these things, and sometimes Bill and Charlie (and very very rarely Percy, when nobody else was available), but sometimes even older brothers weren't enough of an authority on a subject.

Sometimes, a boy needed to go to the ultimate authority. Fred knocked hard and then tried the handle; if the door to the house was unlocked, he went on in. "Mum! Are you home?"

[OOC: Pretend this happened early this morning. :P Early shifts + manic belated fall cleaning = me being late to post this!]

In the early morning, streamers and other celebration-type things 'mysteriously' appear around Molly Weasley's house. They are all brightly-colored and very happy-looking. Levitating about eight feet in the air, and a few feet away from the front door (so that when she steps outside, it is the first thing that would be seen) is a giant banner saying 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM, LOVE EVERYONE!' It is charmed to stay up all day, though it can be brought down whenever it is desired. Fred and George have only started though, and more is to come later today.
