After I gave up on Parallels (got sick of Carmen), I took the whole thing down, including Eidolon, because I just wanted to completely divorce myself from the Sharmen fic. I didn't want to have any associations with it anymore in any way, but this portion of the story was what I honestly had the most fun with, because I really had the opportunity to get really creative and really let things run on their own to see where they went. Originally, this fic was meant to be a series of Shane's recollections of her first love, but I've trimmed out the bits that tied this story to Parallels and I think it stands alone on its own quite nicely.
