Who: Artemis Young and Open
When: June 22 / 2009 - Afternoon
Where: In a clearing of trees, near town
Artemis giggled. The rain was pelting down on her skin and her shirt was sticking to her skin, but she didn't care. It was cold and the wind that she'd summoned swirled around her. There likely wasn't anybody around, unless they were lurking in the trees, and even then she didn't worry. One bolt of lightening and they'd be dead. She paid no mind to the trees behind her, but only the sky above the town she lived in. The day had called for rain and storms, and Artemis had decided to try out some of her new powers under the guise that it was expected naturally. Easier that way to explain away why it was suddenly storming when it should be sunny and clear. Though really, everybody had been through a freak rainstorm at least once, right? Or maybe that was just Artemis. She wouldn't have found her powers if it hadn't been for Alkira.
Another lightening bolt shot across the sky, Artemis created, the roll of thunder cracking after it at the thought of her lost mentor. The least she could do was to honor the woman with the skills she had been taught...
She'd made her way to the place she was now, carried by the Air Sprites that would lift and carry her along wherever she wished. It had been a good idea, rather then trying to walk. Walking was overrated... especially when you could fly. She increased the blowing winds around her, the trees swaying behind her. It felt so good to be out in the middle of the rainstorm. It felt...freeing. Like her daily worries weren't something she needed to even address. Air whispered encouraging words to Artemis and she lifted her arms letting the Sprites carry her up a little, about six meters off the ground and she continued to play with the lightening and thunder. That was until she felt the sudden shift in her Element and she knew, she wasn't alone.
Rotating herself in the air, she set herself down slowly, looking over the threes. Once on the ground, she let the lightening stop and the storm slow a little, the air around her stilling a little more so she could hear better. "I know you're there. Come out." She demanded, her voice firm but not angry.
