we're all trapped too
Who: Jo and Roxy
When: Early Morning
Where: SOHS Lawn
Day three of her shift. Day three of being awake. True, Roxy had taken a few naps here and there, but overall, she was pretty proud of how well she was holding on despite the heaping piles of inactivity. Her hobbies had never included any that could be done sitting down (driving didn’t count), but the past few days made her wish that she had picked up knitting or, hell, even reading along the way; maybe then she would have something to occupy her time. So far, all she had come up with was taking her hair down, braiding in different designs, then taking it down to start all over again. So far she had created three styles that she’d like to experiment more with when she got home; if Kat was anywhere around, she’d use the little penguin as a guinea pig.
If there was one thing that she hated more than doing nothing, it was feeling useless. Surely there was something that she could do to help someone. The sandwiches she had brought the other day had gone over well, but she couldn’t leave her the school grounds unless there was an emergency. Ultimately, she decided to walk the grounds, or at least attempt to as best she could with all the people around. The school lawn was going to be wrecked once all this blew over and everyone returned home. A smirk rose to her lips at the thought of how many earth elementals it would take to get it back to working order.
Growing tired of weaving in and out of people, Roxy decided to take a rest, which really translated to leaning up against a tree and checking her phone for messages. Nothing. So she sent Charlene a text in the hopes that the mermaid was either 1) near her phone or 2) had the thing on. It was always a coin toss with her girlfriend, so she never held it against the other woman when hours passed without reply. Roxy had just pressed send when movement caught her eye. She looked up to see if the person was actually making their way in her direction, or simply passing by.
