Eventually, after days of the same, one got actually physically tired of sitting. Jo's legs were cramping up again already and not long after that she realized she had to do something else. Something other than sitting here waiting for news that could take minutes or days to come. If the circumstances were different Jo would have been among the people lending a hand to the families of the ones trapped inside; she did charity drives and volunteer work often. But the thing was, actively participating in other people's despair when it was her own as well didn't suit her. She had come to the conclusion that she needed to do something elsewhere.
The full moon was right around the corner, and if there was something Jo knew was that there were always bitten weres in need of help. Perhaps she could explore that route, give herself something else to worry about. Now, though, there was nothing she could do. She wanted to have a concrete idea first, then ask August if it was alright to pursue it or if he needed her to stay put. She would if he said so, because if did that meant it was for the good of the pack, but Jo really wished he would understand. It was getting exponentially more painful to be here waiting for nothing.
Ever the friendly one Jo spotted someone familiar. The pink hair was unmistakable - it was Trent's EMT colleague Roxy. In a sea of unknown faces she was a blessing; Jo approached her with an easy smile that didn't quite reach her eyes and waved. "Hey, you're Roxy, right? I'm Trent's sister Jo." As she approached an animal scent flooded her nostrils, icy and birdy but fishy at the same time, and straight from Roxy. "Holy shit are you a penguin?" The wolf asked, excitement shining through whispered words.
