WHO. Everyone~!
WHAT. P AR TAY.
WHERE. Room of Requirement.
WHEN. Backdated to Friday. Night time.
RATING. TBA. Nothing too high though, alright?
STATUS. Open~

The Room of Requirements was a blessing. Nymphadora had spent days trying to locate the infamous room, searching the halls for what seemed like the only ideal place in the castle where one can have an event such as the one she'd been planning for her sibling. She'd taken note of a few abandoned duelling rooms and old libraries, just in case her search came out unfruitful. But at the very last second, the toom finally showed itself to her.

It was better than the stories his father had told her once about it. Not only did Dora not need to decorate the room herself, but it seemed the food was taken care of, too. As if the Castle was rejoicing for their return, and wanted them to celebrate coming back the proper way. Dora was only too eager to oblige.

The room was dark but for the lit candles with different colored flames of red purple and deep orange scattered about the room, gently illuminating the small space. Modest sitting areas were scattered about the area, a long table with food and drinks stood on both sides of the room. The center of the room was of course reserved for dancing, with a small stage and operational DJ booth. It was perfect, Dora thought as her eyes scanned the room.

By nightfall, it was time to party.

Dominique stood outside of the Room of Requirement, on the third corridor. She had been told where to go by Dora, and she was certain the party was well on its way now. She had planned to come early and help set up, but she'd been told the party practically provided everything. So she saw little point in rushing herself, and ended up a tad bit late, as was her usual custom.

She smoothed out her simple black dress and tights, as she paced once, then twice, with the thought I need to get to the party. in her mind. She turned to pace once more, but saw someone else in the corridor. Not just anyone else, though, someone that made her forget to check to see if the door for the room had appeared.

"Hello. I didn't know you'd be coming," she said trying to hide her shock.

Dressed in casual garbs of black and ash, Phoenix exited his dormitory and left the Slytherin Commons. His steps led him to the direction indicated on the invitation sent to him just a few days prior between his fingers, to the corridor that housed the infamous Room of Requirement. However, a few corridors from his destination, he found himself stopping in his tracks.

For a moment, he simply stood against the wall, his expression thoughtful. Should he really go through with this? Imagine a Malfoy in a Weasley's party. Surely, he would not be welcomed so warmly, even though one of their peers, who just so happened to be one of the birthday celebrants, had invited him. He sighed, leaning his head back against the cool stone, contemplating if he should just turn and head back.

Suddenly, his eyes caught a movement, a figure that passed the shadowy area that concealed him. His insides did a little flip, eyes widening in the slightest as he followed Dominique Weasley. He watched her pace, seemingly in thought. After a sigh, he walked into the light and instantly, she spotted him. "I'm unsure if I should, myself." he said, shrugging, looking her once over.

"You look beautiful." Phoenix told her with the slightest smile to his lips.

Dominique couldn't help the little smile that crossed her face. It had been ages since she had actually seen him, looked at him. Selfishly, she wouldn't mind getting the chance to look across the room that night and see him there, but she also wondered if he would be comfortable. "Well, you have made the effort to come this far."

She felt the smile fall gently from her face as he told her she looked beautiful. It tugged at some part of her, and she was glad that he found her beautiful. Dominique knew should have been smiling like a cheshire cat. Still, it seemed to conjure up too many memories. Good memories, and it brought her back to the reality of what she felt for him, even now, although she was convinced she shouldn't.

Still she said, "Thank you. You look...wonderful," before looking away slightly.

Merlin, these lingering feelings were making her feel daft.

"I know." Phoenix answered in his low tenor, hands coming to fold behind his back. It truly was a refreshing site to look at her, and as he stepped closer, he even caugth the faimliar scent of her. "I can still retreat." he told her. "Turn and walk away...."

He caught the expression that passed her expression when he complimented her. It was strange. Usually the gestures summoned more positive reactions. She couldn't even look at him when she returned it. "Did I say something wrong?" he asked, truly curious and even worried that he might have upset her.

Dominique took in the angles of his face as he spoke. She nodded in agreement, "Well, you could, but what would you walk away to?" She knew he wasn't the fondest of crowds like these, and she wondered if he wouldn't prefer to be nestled in a quiet corner with a book, or something else of interest. Whereas she liked being around people. She'd grown up around so many Weasleys, but needed her down time in about equal amounts.

Her eyes widened at his question, "Oh... no." Unsatisfied with her initial response, she smiled sheepishly and shook her head lightly. "You always say the right things. Always." This time she didn't turn her face from his and instead looked directly at him. She could feel her Gryffindor impulsiveness and bravery bubbling up, and she was afraid of what it would have her say.

Phoenix smiled a little. Usually as gestures was one that was so rare in the presence of most people. However, dominiquee just seeed to have the natural talent to bring it out of him. It was funny how she still knew him so well. "A quiet domritory." he told her, biting his lower lip as he thought. "A good book, a glass of water. A form of entertainment entirely different from what a party such as the one I'm invited to will provide." A pause. "And might I ask what's keeping you from going inside?"

Dominique answered him, though her answer did not leave her satisfied. He took another step to her, careful to keep his expression void of what he felt. "Then... why do you appear as if I had?"

Kendra had let Nymphadora guilt her into coming to the party. She would, in all honesty, have felt rather bad if she hadn't been there for the surprise for Addison, who did need a bit of a party after the stress with her boyfriend and Dante. She had promised herself, however, that she would not talk to Dante. She wouldn't get within five feet of him; she wouldn't even look at him. That should keep her from another verbal assault in the event that things turned sour with him and Roger again, though she had high hopes they'd kiss and make up.

As she rounded the corner in her dress, Kendra hesitated at the sight of a familiar blonde. At first, she found herself unbelievably excited. Phoenix had actually accepted her invitation and was going to go! But upon taking in the appearance of the blonde next to him, her glee faded, and her steps hesitated before coming to a stop as she watched them.

He stood so close to her, and he smiled so freely, smiles Kendra had to fight tooth and nail to drag out of him. She heard him talk about how he didn't even want to go to the part and felt her cheeks heat up with embarrassment. If their conversation hadn't been enough, as soon as Dominique had disappeared inside, Phoenix was clutching to his chest as if he were in pain.

Kendra wanted to cut and run. She felt so ridiculous, a little school girl with a crush on someone completely untouchable and apparently uninterested, someone still in love with the beautiful, part veela cousin of some of her best friends. But then she remembered why she had come in the first place. She was here to make Addison feel better, and judging from the things he had said to Dominique, he probably wasn’t going to go in anyway, so all she had to do was just… get by him and into the party, and she’d be fine.

She did her best (which doesn’t mean an awful lot with someone like Kendra) to make her face look unphased, as if she absolutely hadn’t watched the exchange between the two of them and she absolutely was not upset in any way shape or form about it. “…Hi,” she greeted weakly as she reached him. “I… didn’t think you’d come.”

Phoenix looked up with a start at the voice that suddenly reached his ears. He stood straighter and locked his hands behind him as he came face to face with Kendra. Though she'd greeted him, she didn't appear to him as if she was glad to see him. "Is everything alright?" he asked quietly, taking a step towards her. "You don't seem to be in high spirits, when I think you should. This is your party, isn't it?"

"I'm fine," she lied, forcing a smile. "It's not really my party anyway." She glanced over at the doors, wondering how insane she would look if she just made a mad dash for them instead of dragging out a painful conversation he probably didn't even want to be having. "It's a surprise party for Addy." She shifted uneasily in her dress, before blurting out suddenly. "You don't have to be here, you know. If you don't want to be. I didn't mean to make you feel like you had to."

Phoenix's eyes widened at her sudden outburst; he didn't understand why she was so worked up. And it ws evident in the way she couldn't seem to meet his gaze that there was something wrong, something she apparently didn't see fit to tell him. Coudl he have done something to offend her and not know it? Should he be surprised? The same just happened to Dominique...

His eyes narrowed as a thought suddenly occured to him, though he refused to believe it had to do with anything. "What are you trying to do?" he asked her. "Are... you trying to make me leave?"

It was frustrating, trying not to let on to someone that you had just seen and overheard what was undoubtedly supposed to be a private conversation, but being unable to ignore what was said in that conversation. Well, you couldn't have your cake and eat it, too.

"Please don't act as if you weren't going to anyway," she muttered, still not meeting his eyes. "I heard what you said to her." And, of course, she was upset with him because of that and not because of the emotions he still held for Miss Weasley. Obviously. Yes. Obviously.

Dominique walked in the party after her encounter with Phoenix, still stony faced and reached for one of Tommy's concoctions. She sipped on it and found the taste to be pleasant enough, and just what she needed. She'd have to tell him later that she liked it.

She leaned against a wall near the counter looking at everyone going about, and she had to at least give a half-smile in spite of herself. Dora's plan had been a success. She scanned the crowd for any sign of Dora, Addy, Rose, or any of the Weasleys as she nursed the drink.

Rose made her way through the small crowd of students, heading towards the table with drinks. It was not until she reached the table that she saw Dom standing there all alone, a drink in hand.

"Hey," she greeted as she reached her cousin, "You look smashing". She took a cup filled with something. She had no idea what it was. "Sorry I was a bit late. Had some prefect duties that needed taken care of before I could get here." To be honest, it was still fairly early into the party, but Rose liked to be on time, heck, she even liked to be ten minutes early, so being a bit late was a lot late in her book.

Dom's demeanor perked up a bit at the sight of Rose. "Hello, you look brill as well." Dominique grinned happy for the change of thought. "Oh, don't worry. I was late as usual. Must have been some pretty horrible prefect duties to keep you so late though."

Dom took another sip of her drink, "Looks like the party is shaping up to be a success. Have you seen Addy or Dora?"

Rose sipped from her drink as well, welcoming the sweet taste of cool liquid running down her throat. "Mm," she agreed, thinking about earlier. "First year pulled a prank on a fellow student which ended with one in the infirmary and the other in detention. Honestly, were we as bad in first year?" she asked and laughed, a knowing smile gracing her lips.

At the mention of Addy and Dora, Rose looked around, taking in all the students walking around. "No, not yet." She looked into her cup. "What exactly is this?" It tasted like butterbeer, but not entirely.

Dominique returned Rose's knowing smile. "I seem to remember something about a girl's lavatory and it igniting on fire. I can't for the life of me remember why." For the first time since the incident in the hall, a bit of light came into her eyes. First year had been so much easier, and so much more fun.

Dominique looked into Rose's cup. "You know, Tommy is the one to ask about that. It's one of his concoctions. I'm not sure what this is either." Dominique held up her drink, which she now noted was a pinkish color.

Roger was being very clever he thought, as he was leading his blonde girlfriend down the hallway. He had her blindfolded, and had his hand in hers so she wouldn't get lost or bump into things. He was of course leading her to the party, but Addy didn't know that. Roger was sarcastically passing it off as a trust exercise, and alluding to taking her somewhere special.

And every now and then he'd stop and pull her along to an alcove for a quick snog, or to kiss her neck, just so she had no idea where she was going. But eventually he got them up to the Room of Requirement, and the party, and he stopped Addy outside and took her blindfold off. "We're here, go in."

Addy had no clue what was going on, or where she was going, all she knew was that she was in a short sleeved party dress and was blindfolded and being led around the castle by her boyfriend. She didn't know how he was getting away with this, either, but she held onto his hand and followed him as he led her...wherever. She kept asking, but he wouldn't say a thing, except that it was a trust exercize. Except then she would roll her eyes behind her blindfold and state that she already trusted him, but he just kept on leading her wherever he was going.

Every time the stopped, she figured they were wherever he was taking her, but then she would feel his lips on hers. After the first few times, she realized that it was pretty charateristic of Roger, and would just laugh. Finally, he took the blind fold off, and Addy blinked, her eyes adjusting to the light. "Here?" she asked, turning to look at him. "Are we at the Room of Requirement?" She hadn't let go of his hand yet, or moved.

Roger smiled at Addy's observation and nodded. "Yes, we are at the Room of Requirement," he said swinging his hand with Addy's. She didn't move to go in yet, and he was wondering why she was hesitating. "Is there something wrong with that? Don't you want to go inside?" he asked. It was just a door right now, very easy for them to get inside. The Room knew Roger wanted to go to the party, and needed to take Addy in so she didn't suspect what was going on.

Addy's face turned up in a slow smile. "No, of course not," she answered once he asked if something was wrong. "I just.." she eyed him suspiciously, before turning back to the door, and then back to him. "Who knows with you," she said with a laugh. Taking a breath, she finally turned back to the door, still holding his hand and stepped forward. She pushed the door opened then and walked inside.

A party. Jackson normally shied away from them, opting to hang out in the shadows while trying not to make a fuss or be noticed, but this party was under completely different circumstances. You see, this was a party was a birthday party, and he planned on living it up. Or well, as much as he could, anyways. He wasn't exactly the 'party boy' type, after all.

Even though he planned on having fun and enjoying himself at the party, he still somehow managed to find himself gravitating towards the back of the room, watching everyone else with a smile on their faces. It did seem like they were having fun, after all. And that was the important thing.

Dora was excited! A lot of people had already filed inside the room, having drinks and dancing. She could tell this party was going to be a success already and she's all too glad for it. She did put a bit of effort in putting it together after all.

But amidst all the high from the music and alcohol, something was missing. It had been a while since she last saw Jack, even spoke to him. She wondered if he'd come at all. So she set off on a litle hunt, walking around the massive room to search for Jackson. He couldn't be avoiding her could he?

A little detour to the back room led her to discover that it was currently occipied by the very person she was looking for. He was looking out into the room, quiet as he always was. Slowly, she approached him and when he was right behind him, she reached around him to cover his eyes with her hands. She propped her chin on his shoulder, standing on her tippy toes. "Guess who?" then she coughed and disguised her voice. "I mean... guess who..."

Jackson would have been pleased to just stand there the rest of the night, watching all of his friends and their friends and their friends having fun. The music was good and everyone was dancing and having a fantastic time, just like it should be when it came to a party. He was glad that he'd come, not like he'd miss it. Not for the world. This was a special day for two of his favorite girls in the world.

And one in particular.

He'd not seen Dora in a little while, and it wasn't because of avoiding her or anything like that, he'd just not been able to get much time with holidays and then coming back to only be smacked in the face with studying and things like that. And he missed her, he wasn't going to lie. He missed seeing her face, hearing her laugh....basically everything about her. He simply missed Dora.

When he felt the hands slip over his eyes and heard the voice that he'd been missing, a smile crept onto his face and he couldn't help but laugh a small laugh. That small laugh grew louder when she changed her voice. "Um, let me see.....it isn't father Christmas, right?"

"No." Dora continued in her disguised serious voice, her brows drawing together and her lips pouting in the slightest as he did so. "You're too late for Christmas, boy. Keep up!" She then rested her head against the back of his, subtly taking in the familiar scent of him, a scent she'd missed quite a lot in the days when he wouldn't even graze her with his presence. This time, she spoke in a tone that was hers. "Come on. Guess." she said faintly, closing her eyes. "And get it right this time..."

When the 'voice' said that he was too late for Christmas, he laughed again. Father Christmas had just been the first outlandish name to come to his mind when Dora had covered his eyes and told him to guess. However, when she started using her real voice and rested her head against the back of his, he smiled and leaned into her. "Well, I do believe it's one of my favorite people in the world. Could it be Dora?"
