Li-Ming was in all matters of the sense, bored out of her skull. Even before she'd come to Tristram, she'd been kept busy enough in the Yshari Sanctum. Well, at least by Isandra. Now there weren't even tomes to study, and the lack of demons meant she had no way to test her limits and go beyond them. She'd never get better like this, or find new things to try.
She also missed her friends. Leah was here, but occupied with her own life and Li-Ming would not interrupt that. Kormac, Eirena, and Lyndon all knew her. They understood her, which was better. Here there was a quasi wizard who was more irritated at her then anything. She could probably go annoy him, but it wasn't really the same as talking to Eirena.
So she lounged on some boxes letting a conjured firefly dance over her gauntlets. She took her role as security as serious as anyone who disliked authority as much as she did, which was as long as no one was trying to destroy this place she tended to let things slide. Besides there weren't any laws to throw at them. How was she supposed to tell people 'don't steal' if half the place seemed built around it? She stopped people from killing each other but honestly half these people would make Lyndon pale in comparison, they'd probably get their vengeance out of her sight. But it earned her credits, and she planned to update her wardrobe, at the very least, so she did the job. In her own way.
She also ached to practice, but both places open to that she'd looked at and figured she'd destroy them. So she'd tasked the boy who'd spoken to her with looking for something. She'd see what came of that.
Sighing she let the firefly settle on her finger before leaning back against one of the boxes and watching the crowd. In Sanctuary her purpose and duty was very clear. Here, The Nephalem wasn't needed as much.Despite the airs she put on, she had always accepted her duty with all the gravity that demanded. And she wanted to help. Despite everything she did have a good heart.
Just, currently, she settled on bored. It was easier. She gave a long sigh before letting the little firefly dance over her fingers. Idly she sang a tune from her youth as she did so. Xiansai had 59 gods, and as a child she'd been expected to know them all. The song was meant to help with that. Mostly because it was said that Zei The Trickster, favorite of her people, was said to be fond of it because it tended to make light of the other gods.
It was something to ease the boredom, at least.
