I just wanted to give a heads up and a goodbye! I've unfortunately been having a difficult time with my characters the past few weeks, so I've decided to take my leave and step out of the game. Hello, all, this is Latara, and this is my fifth character, Quinta (Yaxley) Wilkes! She is, of course, sister to Nona and Decima, and she's married to the younger brother of our Wilkes' father. She's the perfect pureblood, so all the society types should know her from those circles. Hogwarts year, for reference, is Slytherin '56. She's very doting on her family, is sympathetic with the Death Eaters but personally abhors violence, and errrmmm, I'm not sure what else is relevant BUT you can read the whole story on her journal.

So yes, plots! Would love any and all suggestions, aaaand to prod if anyone were interested I'd lovelovelove it if someone were to pick up her twin sister, Quarta.

Hi people. Sorry for the whole MIA thing. A dentist visit turned into getting two wisdom teeth yanked out there and then and I've spent the last five days at my parents place getting sympathy.

Just a quick note to say that I'm back from hiatus. (And rather jet-lagged, but such is life.) I appreciate all the love an support in this hard time. My bff's mother's memorial was on Monday night and her ashes interned on Tuesday. It's been a rough 2 weeks - I loved her mother, I obviously love my bff, and my grief from Mike is still really close to the surface, so I was constantly struggling and battling with that.

However, I am back and really excited to jump back into things. I have a LOT to catch up on though, so it may be a couple days before I post anything substantial.

If there's something my character (or I) needs to know RIGHT NOW -- please comment here!!

I'm sorry to do this everyone but as much as I have enjoyed this game, I feel like my muse for Charlotte has been suffering the past couple of weeks and it's not fair to anyone for me to just sit around and hope it resurfaces. Okay, so you may have caught on, but I'm really not around too much atm. I've decided to move to Colorado and crash on my friend's couch until they get a two-bed in January. (Trust me, if I could stand to wait here that long, I would.) Anyway, I'm leaving August 7th, so until then will be frantic packing of what little my mom lets me take. (She might just be pissed off about the whole idea.) Anyway, this is sort of my hiatus, cross-posted. I'll still be sort of around and try to get to tags if I can and might journal a little, but until this is all through, I'm going to be scarce.

I'm going to have to take a hiatus for a week or so - I'll be out in CA visiting family until Sunday, June 20, and can't really say whether I'll have anything like regular internet access. Okay, I'm caught up, if a little lost. Dammit people, did you have to be that prolific.

This, by the way, is Rufus Scrimgeour. I didn't have a chance to introduce him before I went on my trip so I'll do so now. Rufus is a former Gryffindor 1955-62 though he doesn't put much stock in Houses these days. He's seen too many supposedly noble Gryffindors, loyal Hufflepuffs and intelligent Ravenclaws get themselves into trouble to believe that any one House has the corner on 'evil'. He also doesn't like vigilantes... any kind of vigilantes, no matter what their politics are. Justice, law and jurisprudence are the job of the DMLE and nobody else is allowed to take the law into their own hands.

Other than that Rufus is a fairly easy going man, albeit a bit scruffy and stubborn. He's fiercely, proudly Scottish so yes, he does speak with a Scottish accent. How broad it is depends on how angry he is, the angrier he is, the thicker his accent is. He's a bit of a workaholic and while he likes going out to the pub for a drink or two that's about as far as he goes. He doesn't often get drunk. Mostly because he's pretty much a two beer queer. That bisexual aspect of himself isn't something he's entirely comfortable with because it doesn't really fit with his self-image of a ladies man.

Anyway, his bio is here and I'm always up for plot/friends/enemies/frenemeies/ex-girlfriends/male one night stands etc etc.

Epic computer fail for the LOSE. UGH.

So, yeah, my computer decided it no longer wanted to turn on. Insert random error message that would not go away. Good news is, it's fixed. Bad news is, it had to be reformatted and I lost EVERYTHING. And I had to go without a computer for a couple weeks without warning. SORRY LOVES.

Hi all! It's Christa again, brining in my fifth and, for now, final character. This is Agnes Branstone (although Quidditch fans will know her as Agnes Winter).  Here's her general info:

- Ravenclaw '73, 25 years old.
- Muggleborn.
- Beater for the Ballycastle Bats (1978-present), formerly for the Falmouth Falcons (1975-78).
- married to Miles Branstone, 39 years old, Muggleborn, publicist for the Department of Magical Games and Sports.
- plays very rough, but is possibly one of the sweetest and politest people you'll ever meet.

As for any plans I have with her, there's nothing major yet.  But as a Muggleborn (and her husband, as well), I could see something happening either with BOMB (Miles getting involved, possibly?) or with being attacked.  Otherwise, she'll just be socializing and playing Quidditch for now! This is Lucius Malfoy, resident conniving bastard! No doubt one of many. You can find the tl;dr on him here, but - long story short, he's spent his post-graduation years chasing his parents into an early retirement, trying to find people to put in his pocket, and discovering his love of torturing / maiming / raising hell. ... Anonymously, of course. He's recently married, and that's not quite working out as he expected it would - the Blacks can be a bit of a handful, who'd have thought? - so he's been throwing himself into what passes for his "work" lately. He needs a few friends who also enjoy unwinding with an Unforgivable or two, possibly followed by cognac and cards. (Also so he has people to whom to send cigars and obnoxiously crowing announcements when Draco is born, um, tomorrow.) I'd love to drop him in with some Ministry types, too, be they amenable or not to his frequent attempts at thinly-veiled bribery. And enemies, strangers, nodding acquaintances, lapdogs, old Quidditch rivals, innocent bystanders and all and sundry who feel like plotting. :)
