Who: Ron and Hermione and everyone who was invited!
What: The Wedding
Where: The Bangin' Bash Eatery, Diagon Alley
When: Monday, noonish
Seamus had outdone himself, with the help of others, in setting up the place, looking far more like a good wedding sight than he thought possible. An small Irish group had offered to play music for the ceremony, and do some entertaining after. Audrey had come through, with the wedding cake as well as other food, complimenting what fare Seamus had put out. And of course, Molly had arrived, loaded with additional cakes, and a Spotted Dick pudding big enough to feed an army. There were streamers of white across the ceiling, and Seamus's mum had found enough white table clothes, borrowed from the church, to cover all of the tables in the plate. That, with a few well placed helium balloon bundles really gave the place the spit and polish it needed to make it a tad fancier. Penny was there, moving about, taking all sorts of snaps of things, capturing the event.
There was a long buffet table that was covered with all sorts of meats and cheeses, dishes of different casseroles, vegetables, and an assortment of fresh fruit while at another small table, separated, was the pretty cup cake wedding cake.
The minister from Hermione's church was not available, which was a blessing in disguise; the chance of him not noticing all of the magic about would have been tough to explain. Instead, an official from the Ministry, one of Ron's dad's friends had come. People had gathered about, standing in a half circle around them, as Ron stood with his hand in Hermione's repeating the words that the man repeated. Hermione was breathtaking; the night had been rough without her, even with George's expert guidance at the wilds of a bachelor party. Even the sight of half naked women, while alluring, made Ron blush and think only of his intended. He had not been disappointed when he finally laid eyes on her.
She was absolutely beautiful, and Ron's mouth had grown very dry while his hands had seemed to have sprung a leak. He swallowed hard, tugging at the collar of his tux, but had been more than willing to say what he was guided to say. When they had announced, "I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride," Ron had turned to Hermione, his face flushed and he had intended on leaned into give her, to give her a small, gentle kiss on the lips. But when he felt his arms about her, he became overwhelmed with emotions, and without realizing it, he pulled her closer to him and kissed her solidly, dipping her back slightly, forgetting that everyone was even there. It was only the loud cheering around them that roused him, making him think, fleetingly, that they were at a Quidditch match of something. Then it dawned on him that it was for them, and he pulled back, redder than before.
