Invincible OOC Comm

This is Hayley with my third: resident Theodore ("Mr") Fernandez with the power of age shifting! Ignore the sour puss default - he's one heck of a merry old troll. I will have more icons of him once I cap the Buena Vista Social Club DVD.

You can read more about him here, but Theodore is 84 years old and has lived through some times. Originally from the south, he transferred to the Chicago facility in the 70's and you likely know of his late wife, Consuela, and their small army of children and grand-children, both metahuman or not. He and Henry also have a bit of a Statler & Waldoff thing going on and their unofficial table at Capers.

Since Theodore's power means that he can adjust the age of most living things (including himself), he's only recently retired from being an operative as he could shift into a mid-twenties version of himself for patrols (and was quite a looker in his day, according to his own estimation). Nowadays he's a part-time powers trainer. Possible lines for him:

People he's trained.

His favourite Capers bartender/Brewed Awakening barista (or not).

Former team(s). He was a team leader in the past!

Residents or agents he's turned into children because he's got sick of them.

Honestly though, I'm happy with anything. He's been here for donkey's years so if there's a specific line you need, we could likely work something out.

This is Tony, one of your friendly neighborhood mods, and I come bearing another character.

This little loser is Marty Macmillan. Marty's a rookie RS Agent who started earlier this year. He's a bit of a, well, naive newcomer. Perpetually chipper, he's the sort who tries to be buddies with all the metas because, come on, sure it's the way things have to be that they're in here, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

So... yeah. He's kind of super annoyingly happy. So I'm sure the other RS folks will just love him. Metas feel free to find him either annoying, amusing, or downright offensively insensitive with his "I mean... it could be worse, right?" attitude.

Hey all it's Ryan you may remember me from such intros as Gregory and Rathborne but now we're shaking things up with my first resident!

This is Madison Scott, aka Specs (though feel free to call him Speccy, he hates it). He has x-ray vision though it's not very strong, and tends to get a bit out of control if he's not wearing his glasses. He's an awkward alpha nerd type who's been at the Lock for a few years and you may know him from the fact that he desperately wants to be an Operative, and has a tendency to wildly suck up to Operatives and Agents alike in hopes of improving his odds. He also tends to act like a bit of an authoritarian prat around other Residents to demonstrate his sense of responsibility and leadership, which is especially unfortunate for your barista types because he's also the Manager of Brewed Awakening.

Greetings and salutations, I am (still) Jackie and this is (now) Ziggy and he's very delighted to be here, yes he is. No really. Delighted. Ecstatic. Aflutter. Jubilant. Couple more expansively joyful adjectives. Come to him, pretty people. He loves you all, he's sure.

Zig's the youngest of seven siblings - the rest of which are all female. All of them. He also has five nieces. Five. Also female. Surrounded by women. Boxed in. All sides. It's a fucking terrifying way of life, really. Ziggy may also be a little bit overdramatic. And loud. But lord knows you have to be in order to get any attention in his family. So Ziggy is loud. And overdramatic. Yes.

He's a Beta and a Field Operative - team TBD. (Though, let's be real, I almost hope it's Violet. Just so we can all laugh as Ziggy is surrounded, permanently, by women. In every aspect of his life. Nope. Grey. You poor people.) He's an eager little pain in the ass and has the ability to simultaneously do everything you ask and probably drive you up the wall. Endearingly. His powers involve Object Charging, but he charges them via himself. And his own inability to sit still for more than five minutes. So, basically, Ziggy has ADHD. And it makes things explode.

OMG IT'S ANOTHER INTRO. Yo, it's ur girl Cilla with #4: CHAS TESARIK, RS Agent, 30, Forever Alone Single Dad, Field Agent Wannabe and Illinois native. You pronounce his name "Chaz" and it's short for Charles - but pls don't call him Charlie because that's his step-dad's name. His real first name is Jan but he will straight up refuse to respond if you ever try to call him that.

He was MEANT to be en route to becoming a field agent and anyone who trained with him like a decade ago would have remembered him incessantly talking about how awesome he was going to be as a field agent and kick APEX ass and blah blah, but before he could start training for it, he found out his ex was pregnant so there went those plans.

Re: metas, his feelings can basically be summed up as: he likes the COOL metas only. If you're not an operative, or an Alpha chances are Chas doesn't give a flying f about you and has no time for your shit. If you ARE an operative (or former, or training to be one) or an Alpha or he deems you cool/useful, then you'll probably get a decent amount of respect from him.

Hi guys! This is Cate. As you might have noticed… I dropped Iris Fox because I just wasn't feeling her. I decided to pick up another meta-resident instead. I hope you'll enjoy playing with him! I want all the storylines for him, please and thank you.

SIMON STRAND aka SPLINTER is a 31 year old meta-human who has been living at the facility since he was 13 (so 18 years ago). He is a beta with the power of shattering. As a kid he was kind of a hell raiser who got in a lot of trouble. He got better with age but that first year was something else. By the time he was an operative at 23 he was no longer as flippant about people's feelings and was developing real friendships, but he still liked to be the center of attention.

Three years ago he had an accident while on a mission. In trying to save a fellow operative, Simon shattered something to keep it from hitting him/her but couldn't get out of the way of the shards although another teammate was able to pull the other to safety. (I'd love to have these roles taken by played characters…). The result was that Simon's legs had been irrevocably damaged. He hoped against hope that he'd be able to be an operative again but a few months into his recovery he had to accept it wasn't going to happen. He grew up a lot as he came to terms with his reality but needed the support of good friends to help support him.

As he's been going through physical therapy he now walks with the aid of a cane and hopes to one day be able to go without it for some of the day. It might not be possible. He has been dabbling with artistic pursuits (although he feels weird admitting it) in trying to delicately use his shattering powers to create Easy artwork. BUT!!!! He's going to be starting to train meta humans really soon!! He's excited for 'real' work and he's really passionate about seeing people succeed.

Sooo hi this is James (I play Casey's bb sister Camryn Garrett @ bitchlikethis, though I've sucked on that front lately) finaaaaaaaaaaallly introducing my second. THIS WILL BE SHORT (for me).

HARPER MADISON, 19 years old.

ALPHA with the power of Weather Manipulation/Creation. Has been in the system since she was 18 months old -- initially in the Lock for a hot second, was sent to Alaska because she wasn't able to control her powers. Transfered back to the Lock when she was around 14, and was SO EXCITED TO BE THERE!! Can create weather indoors. Will try -- and fail -- to levitate anyone who wants it.

DAUGHTER TO A DMS AGENT. Will Madison, longago Field Agent turned RS Agent, worked at the Lock up until Harper transfered here about 5 years ago, now in Boston. Even if you never worked with him personally, if you're an Agent you've probably heard of him -- because seriously, how many DMS Agents maintain a close relationship with their Alpha-level spawn? Exactly. Worth noting is that Harper's dad is fucking A+++ at his job, and if you're Meta or DMS, it's goddamn hard to find fault in how he handles his job. Harper ♥ him.

PROFOUNDLY DEAF, yet still chatty as fuck, as is how Harper does. Unless you know how to use ASL, she communicates in person via reading lips and handing out index cards. For more info on how Harper communicates and other deafie stuff go here.

GREGARIOUS Will talk to anyone, attempt to make friends with any Meta who is not a total twat to her, ADD HER ON INSTAGRAM AND TAG HER IN POSTS WITH WEATHER!!, also learn ASL!! It's a fun language, she promises. She's totally worth it, she double promises. When it comes to Agents, she's all smiles and more dialed down energy, basically like a baby animal who wants you to be as unaware as possible that she totally peed on the rug and scrapped up your curtains by accident.

Upfront, flaky, very unlikely to engage in arguments of any kind, aggressively friendly when she dislikes you, loves dancing, totally on valium and god knows what else, old soul except for the part where she scrapes every last bit of excitement and happiness from ALL THE THINGS... ok so maybe being kind of stir-crazy and psychologically conditioned is the better word for it..

Short version: Manuel Aguilar, 23, Beta metal manipulator, Team Gold Operative (blaster mainly, striker/bruiser at times), room 7K (studio). Has been at the Lock since 5 years old. Is a dork with a big heart but emotionally closed off. Plots? He's been at the Lock since childhood so those that have been here for 10+ years would know him. Anything else at all, wide open!

What? Dana made a third character? I was totally encouraged. But this is my max for a game and I will acknowledge that. :)

So here we have Nova Watts, 27 years old from New York. New about a month ago. She works at Brewed Awakenings and is a Metahuman Resident. She has an attitude, total chip on her shoulder. She is a bit against how things have happened for her as she was raised in a facility thanks to her meta parents who are a Beta and an Alpha. They are kind of disappointed because..... Nova here is a Delta. She creates glitter. WOOT. Not. She hates it and she would rather have been normal. She will leave glitter around at random and on accident. She has control mostly but she has never worked to make that control perfect. She can produce all the colours of the rainbow but the colour often depends on her mood unless she is focused.

So who wants to be her friend? Haha Anyone. I am really open to just about anything.

Hey everyone! I've been a little MIA and laggy with my introductions because I went on hiatus at the most inconvenient time. I'm still technically out of town and won't be around in full capacity until the 14th... But I've been sneaking apps in between all that, so I've decided to go ahead and introduce my newest two characters. Oh and this is Rose, player of Rafael noparents who also has an intro over here! ANYWAY, my new kids on the block:

This is Nat of bombdisposal and macgyvergal fame, bringing you a boy!

His full name is Lee Haroldson Huntington, and he is the son of a Texas oil baron! His family is Rich in a ridiculous way, and throw their money at Republican politicians in an obscene kind of way. There was something of a scandal when his powers manifested in an oil rig fire, as video was taken and it hit news and gossip pages. He was at the facility in Texas until about a year ago, when he was transferred to Chicago thanks to stringpulling by his father. He's the family embarrassment! He's very outspoken about the civil liberty violation that is the whole DMS facility system, and will tell whoever will listen to him that it's totally unconstitutional. He has a veeeery popular youtube channel called 'Meta Life' that is a combination of political ranting and gossip, sooo if there's stuff you want to have been mentioned or mentioned in the future, let me know!

He's charming and arrogant and very libertarian, and obviously very outspoken! Let me know if you want to set up any history with your characters!

Oh, and his power is to turn into diamond! He's very hard to hurt in his diamond form, and he's stronger than your average bear, but he rarely actually shifts into this form because... why would he. Unless it's to show off.

Hi all! This is Eronn (dundermifflin), player of Daniela Flores (doublefracture), Claire Edwards (quietplease) and Mindee Hartley (roygbiv).

I bring you my fourth character, Eddie James. I am still in the process of getting his icons uploaded and all that jazz, but I wanted to introduce him anyways.

Eddie is a DMS Supervision Agent. He's kind of a cocky shit. He thinks he's super-great and has a very high opinion of himself and a lot of that rests in his looks, which are nice. He works out a lot, so if you've had the pleasure of seeing him with his shirt off, you'd understand.

Although he can be a bit of an ass personally, he's not a horrible agent. He can be brusque and straightforward but he's not rude and doesn't try and pick fights with people. He's pretty calm in general and very good at avoiding trouble. He likes to flirt, but he's learned how to tone it down on the job so he doesn't get himself fired. He spends a ton of his time off in the gym, but he doesn't like fighting because he doesn't want his face screwed up.

So, that's Eddie! Let me know if you have any ideas for backstory, plot, etc.!

also i didn't want to make a whole new post announcing this so i was waiting to get Dani in, but i've been slow/quiet because i'm on vacation right now and will continue to be until July 5th. i stupidly didn't realize i was going to be out of town for game start so i'm floundering right now, i'll try so hard to catch up when i get home though.

HEY EVERYONE. i recognize a lot of names here so far, so hello to all of you! and hello to everyone i don't know yet. i'm laura! my personal journal is over at borntorun - feel free to add it if you want! i turned 31 this month and i feel pretty okay about that, i live in houston where i groom dogs so my schedule can be a little all over the place and i'm not always available on aim. evenings are best (except for wednesdays when i work late), and weekends can be tough because they're tiring. but i'm usually accessible via email (which is larsipoo@gmail.com) all day even if i can't actually rp. :D

i just have one character here so far: this is andre jacobs! andre is a 29 year old metahuman resident, and his lucky power is... sugar manipulation. he thinks it's boring/awful/useless/etc, which directly impacts how he feels about being in facilities and his own self-esteem and how he feels about other metahumans. andre's a nice guy, but he's pretty private, so it'll take a little warming up for him. stronger metas make him self-conscious and angry (although he knows it isn't their fault), so he's a little more reserved around them because he feels out of place. feeling lame does not mix well with feeling lucky, and he still doesn't know what to do with it. he found out he was a metahuman when he was 17, and his mother announced she was one too, so he & his sisters all moved on the off-chance one of them was too. (if someone ever wants to play one of the younger ones, i am a-okay with one of them being meta, or whatever!) andre took care of his sisters a lot during this time, so he grew up to be really responsible & devoted to his family. the second kid in the family is blissfully normal, and she went on to get married and have a kid... who turned out to be meta too. jazmin is 2 going on 3, and she's the reason andre moved to chicago from the south. he agreed to take on guardianship of her so that she wouldn't get raised by people they don't know, SO he comes with a toddler who has him wrapped around her little finger.

andre'll be working in food service, and he's very good at making candies, cakes, chocolate -- you name the sweet, he can probably do it. since this is the only useful application of his power that he can find, he's spent a lot of time learning how to bake/make confections/etc. he'll do it recreationally too, so friends can expect presents to come in the shape of a cupcake with really intricate decorations. he's totally your man for birthday cakes too JUST SAYING.

SUP. I know a good bit of you but for those that do not my name is Lou herozero, I live in the SF Bay Area, and I like to party. That last bit is a lie. It's been a little crazy in my neck of the woods the past week but I am ready to get down and dirty.

As of right now I have one character. I may change my mind later and do something else but for now I've just got Mr. Grant Mitchell here. He's a 31 year old gay former dweeb. He was into metas as a kid and after finishing college gained some powers and got swole. This oddly enough grounded him and caused him to grow into the man who's now #2 on Team Gray. Meta-wise he is a Beta-class bruiser with super strength.

Grant's been at the Chicago facility for about the past... 9-ish years and that's as far as his connection to the meta community goes, he's a "muggle born" for those of you that are into that sort of thing. He's somewhat friendly. He'll be cordial but isn't one of those people that is outright going to see you as a friend, it takes more building of a relationship for that. He's into fitness, you'll see him often working out or on a run or some other thing.

Hi everyone! I’m Bronte (brontesaurus), I’m Australian and turning 24 in 4-5 days (idk counting is hard). Because I’m Australian and therefore in a weird timezone, and I work most days, email is the best way to contact me, since unless I am in a meeting or asleep I usually have access to it, and I am often logging from work to make up for not being around at a normal time to comment.

I recognize a few of you from games past, but for those of you that don't know me, I'm a 30 year old graduate student currently suffering through the turmoil of trying to put together a coherent thesis. I've been mostly doing fandom rp the last few years. It's been awhile since I've done an original character game, especially one this large, so forgive me if it takes a bit for me to get into the swing of things.
