Deercliff is a small college town located in the northeast United States. Visitors to Deercliff might feel a strong sense of jamais vu; everyone seems somehow recognizable but totally unfamiliar. Not that there's anything magical going on here, of course, but some outsiders mind find it a bit eerie.
Deercliff is a casual original character game where every character has the personality of a canon character from any book, movie, TV show, comic, musical, or play.

The celebrity life has always fascinated society. Everyone has wanted fame at one point or another, but only a few are able to truly experience the limelight. Hollywood can bring one glory, but it also brings its own set of anxieties and stress. In order to have a life of luxury, one has to give up privacy. An average life is just a memory once a person has stepped into the limelight.

What about those who have never experienced an average lifestyle? The vampires, the werewolves and even the aspiring actor who can teleport... what will come of them if they pursue fame? For ages, the supernatural world has been kept a secret from society. However, with the rise of fame in the supernatural world, how much longer will it be a secret kept?

PREMISE
While practicing a few spells as part of her education in the magical arts, Dawn Summers found one she had never seen before. As she read on, she found herself drawn in by it, somehow entranced by the words. Despite the written warning, making it clear that it was not one for beginners in the craft, she went to collect the items listed necessary to complete it.

The spell went wrong, horribly wrong and Dawn found herself transported to a new town buried deep in the mountains called Emerald Cove, created when the spell backfired. It did not end there. The spell created fissures in the walls between dimensions, drawing a variety of characters and creatures from their home worlds and realities and trapping them within this small town.


New challenges lay ahead as strangers come together and must learn to find a way to either learn to live in this new world and find a balance with the shift in magic, or continue to find a way to return to their home dimensions and realities.
