The gods have not faded away, or been reborn. They are not in high school. They have not forgotten who they were. They remember, because they still exist.

The Sumerians are still insular and superior, the Greeks still squabble amongst themselves more than they do with the other pantheons, and the Norse… well, with Loki on the loose and Ragnarok threatened, they have their hands full. How will they manage to coexist? How have they done so thus far? What happens when Anubis meets Hades? Or Thor challenges Nergal?

Come help us continue the myths.

Off the coast of the eastern United States, there’s a small island called Mermaid Cove. Mermaid Cove appears to be a quaint little seaside village, popular with tourists, especially during the summer. Many come for the beautiful crystal blue waters and sandy beaches, some come for the unique shopping experience, others for the Legend.

You see, Mermaid Cove isn’t your typical vacation destination.

It was said years ago that one night during a full moon, a small tidal wave hit the village at exactly midnight, brought about by an earthquake beneath the ocean waves. This was a rare occurrence but nothing much to be worried about as thankfully the water did little damage. Or so they thought.

After that, some of the villagers who had been submerged in the water from the wave started having strange reactions as soon as water touched their skin - their skin would start to glisten, they would suddenly gain the ability to breathe underwater for extended periods of time and their legs would merge together and form a tail. And strangely enough, they would gain powers - special powers that allowed them to manipulate water whether it be heating it up, freezing it or merely moving it.

Many tried to leave the village, hoping that if they got far enough away, it would all fade away they would be normal again and yet found themselves returning after a while. Others revelled in this gift as they were unique and special, some staying on land as transforming humans while others chose a life under the sea. And a few feared the gift for it was hard to keep the secret just that, especially when it rained.

A law was soon passed in the village by the mayor, whose daughter was one of the victims in this freak transformation - anyone found revealing the secret of the village to an outsider would be locked away in a dry cell until they expired as per legend, a mermaid without water is truly a "fish out of water".

Thankfully Mermaid Cove was able to keep the secret under wraps, at least for a while - that was until a documentary director came to town and started to do research for his most recent project. Before the village knew it, their legend was being aired all over the United States and part of Europe, bringing in a whole new flood of people to their once peaceful sanctuary in search of the mystical mermaids the documentary had featured.

Can Mermaid Cove survive all of this attention? Or is the fate of the mermaids now in trouble? Only time will tell....

It's just like any other day, except maybe on this particular day you wake up with a bit of a headache. You get up, you brush your teeth, you go to work. Or maybe you're still in bed, sleeping off that hangover from the party you went to last night. Then you start hearing a voice inside your head that's not yours. Are you going crazy? No. Are you imagining things? No. Is there actually a fictional person living inside your head?

Yes.

Reincarnation has been a world-wide phenomenon for centuries. Fictional entities taking up residence in the minds of unsuspecting people, sharing memories, histories, talents, hardships. It began in secret, but as the number of reincarnates steadily grew the reincarnate world became a community that was increasingly hard to remain unnoticed by the rest of the world or to exist together peacefully.

Congratulations, you've just become a reincarnate. Welcome to the war.

It's the year 2011, but the Reincarnate War has been waged for centuries. The two warring sides, most recently going by the names Camelot and CORE, have been locked in a never ending fight over ideals, and the reincarnate community's neutral agent known as the Agency has been trying in vain to keep the peace. Many battles have been fought, with heavy casualties on both sides. Governments overthrown, fighting in the streets and countless loved ones lost. On April 2nd they thought the war was over. In a battle that lasted the night, Camelot took down CORE in a single swoop, those that survived were put in prison, and the reincarnate community began to rebuild. The worst was over. Or so they thought.

The reincarnate community is in shambles, torn apart by centuries of warfare. The magic that brings reincarnates into the world has shifted with the supposed end of the reincarnate war. It would seem that it's no longer set on bringing about destruction, instead it's reshaping reality as you know it. Cities, planets, everywhere that reincarnates have ever been connected to are beginning to appear in the real world and everyone is scrambling to find the place that they once called home

It's not as easy as that though. CORE prisoners have escaped and are now calling themselves the Resistance. They're out for revenge as well as territories to claim, and Camelot is ready for another fight.
