As the monopoly held by Old Money crumbles with the changing economy, new financial powerhouses are rising to try and take their place within the Fortune 500, and are willing to go to any lengths to prove themselves. The clashing of the markets means a constant shifting in power, finance and business alliances, and when money is the flow on which life is balanced, sometimes it becomes a dangerous struggle.

Some may have moved right next door to you. In Washington, DC., moving into an apartment with a new roommate might mean that you're sharing a living space with a werewolf. Or maybe your son's new kindergarten teacher is an elemental. Or that girl you have a crush on in Algebra just might already know because she's a telepath. Things are still a struggle when it comes to acceptance and not everyone is happy about the path that the world is taking towards equality. Where do you stand? Which side will you take?

Beneath the oceans off the coast of Summerwood lies the realm of Driftwood and the home of the mermaids. Beautiful creatures, male and female, with the upper bodies of humans and the lower bodies of fish, the merpeople call the sea both home and Mother. Many legends surround them, some of them true and others exaggerated, but they are magical creatures without a doubt, and not to be treated lightly. The most powerful and yet secret abilities of the merpeople is their ability to change their tail into human legs and leave the ocean to come onto the shore. Of course this is not without consequences, for in order to give up their legs, a merperson must also give up their voice. If a mermaid finds her true love and he loves her back, she will be able to keep her legs and voice and live with him forever.

Fae Woods is an original concept fantasy game, inspired by several works of fantasy fiction, fairy tales, and other legends. Here, players have the chance to create original characters, or take inspiration from cultural fairy tales and put their own twist on familiar faces. What will your character make of the looming darkness? Will they choose to fight with their realm, or will they be swayed by the temptations of the dark Queen? Step into the realm of Fae Woods, and find out for yourself...
