Voldemort was dead and life went on. Students who had spent the last year fighting for their lives suddenly found themselves in a world with limitless possibility, capable of finding new direction and new purpose. There were job interviews to go on and bills to pay. Funerals and first dates. Second dates. Weddings. Children. Twenty-eight years later, a new generation of students will be boarding the Hogwarts Express- the children of war heroes and villains alike. With the Second War safely behind them in their History of Magic textbooks, these students find themselves blessed with the opportunity to live normal lives as normal teenagers, focused on Hogsmeade weekends, school events and N.E.W.T. exams and faced with the choice to either put the past behind them or settle for living in the shadow of their parents. Adolescence is challenging enough, a time of increasing independence and creative exploration. As these teenagers prepare for their last years at Hogwarts, will they step out as individuals -- away from their parents' pasts -- or will lingering prejudices continue to affect social order?

SWOTTING is a next-gen, canon-compliant RPG focused on character development, interpersonal relationships and providing a realistic school experience at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Tourist Trap?

Dear Sir or Madame

You have been selected to spend an exclusive, all expenses paid weekend inside the infamous Winchester Mystery House in sunny San Jose, California.

A car will arrive at your place of residence at promptly seven o'clock in the morning on Friday, November 19. Please have your bags packed, and be ready, as we would hate for you to miss your flight.

Upon arrival at the manor, we ask that you please visit the check in desk to make sure that you have access to everything that the manor has to offer. Secondly, you should check out our commons area to mingle with some of the other guests.

You will be staying in one of our luxurious rooms for the duration of your stay with us.

Dinner is served nightly at six-thirty in our luxurious dining hall, and don't forget to take a stroll through our luscious gardens. The only thing we ask that you do not do is venture out of your room at night. After all, the Winchester Mansion is a very large place. We wouldn't want you getting lost.

We hope you enjoy your stay.

She calls herself "The Gossip Witch", and no one knows her true identity. All they know is that if there's gossip in the Wizarding community, The Gossip Witch knows it, and she's not afraid to print it. Entries from this unknown source appear in the journals weekly; printing everything there is to know about the lives and scandals of former Hogwarts graduates (even things she shouldn't be able to know). She may use initials, but just about everyone knows who the rumors are about. Will your character end up on Gossip Witch's daily dishings? And how will this affect their lives, their relationships, and their emotions? No matter how it plays out, you know you love her...

The Gossip Witch has been open since January of 2010. We are accepting applications for all canon characters in the wiki or Lexicon, but are especially looking for:

And no we aren't talking about the new World of Warcraft expansion.
1 January, 1979...

The first day of the new year and everything has gone wrong. Voldemort and his followers gained enough power and attacked the Ministry of Magic the night before New Years Day. The Order and it's supporters fought back and they fought hard. The Ministry was in chaos that night. Spells flying in all directions; anger, tears and sweat went into this battle. In the end, it was too much... too much magic and emotion in one place. The Ministry exploded and it's aftershocks went through England over and over again. Buildings collapsed, people panicked and trampled one another. Thousands upon thousands were killed. Muggles blamed a meteor hitting them, since there are a few small craters left where entire buildings just simply exploded. The magical folk are the only ones that know what really happened that night, but even then... they don't understand it. England has been cut off from everything and everyone, as if there is a bubble keeping them locked in.

Albus Dumbledore is dead and Voldemort survived. Triumphant, Voldemort took his followers and captured Muggleborns to a new encampment, where they plan to slowly rebuild and eventually become the new law. Voldemort is determined... determined to rule all of England; both magical and Muggle to his liking. The Purest will be the highest in the hierarchy... with Muggles and Muggleborns at the bottom, basically slaves to the Pure. Unfortunately, magic as a whole has become shaky since the explosion. Spells don't seem to work as well... sometimes, they don't work at all. The Order is hiding in what is left of St. Mungos, doing their best to keep safe and healthy and prepare for what may come. There are still stragglers; people avoiding both sides or hoping that the Ministry will rise from the ashes and things will be normal once more.

Though it has been a few months and many are dead, but there are still some alive who can fight for either side. The Wizarding World needs a leader, it needs hope. Things are coming together, slowly, and attacks have been made back and forth. Sides need to be taken.

What side will you take in the Cataclysm? Will you fight alongside the Order of the Phoenix, help them rebuild and eventually triumph over Voldemort? Or will you stand with Voldemort, whose desire to make a new life may be more intriguing then making cozy in St. Mungos with the Order? Or will you remain neutral, watching from the sidelines?
