TRY SOMETHING NEW!

Welcome to Morningstar Manor!
Apartments for the discerning tenant
Two, three and four bedroom deluxe apartments
Pets allowed (additional monthly fee and security deposit applies)

Enter a world of Art Deco charm, of understated elegance, of simple but luxurious pleasures. First built in 1928, Morningstar Manor was the pet project of Jefferson Morningstar, who envisioned a building in which even those not born with silver spoons in their mouths could live like royalty. From the marble floors in the lobby to the rooftop swimming pool and greenhouse, the elegantly laid out garden courtyard and most modern amenities, Morningstar created a haven for the Manor’s residents. Tenants could enjoy poetry readings and musical performances in the tenants-only library, visit the private café, walk the grounds or feed the fish in the koi pond.

Today, though the Manor has undergone extensive remodeling to bring it to its modern elegance, tenants can still enjoy the coffeeshop and bookstore located on the lobby level, or use the gardens and rooftop swimming pool (now completely glass-enclosed for year-round convenience.) Membership in the fully equipped gym is included in the lease. Self-service laundry facilities in the basement are easily accessible, as well as a dry-cleaning and laundry for those who prefer to have their cleaning sent out. Housekeeping services are arranged in-house by Morningstar Manor’s expertly trained staff, and can be provided for a low, additional monthly fee.

Also included, at no additional fee: Morningstar Manor’s intricately ominous past. No less than seven fires have destroyed parts of the magnificent, thirteen story building. Known by local police and hospital personnel for the number of accidents, murders and suicides it provides every year, the Manor has nevertheless managed to maintain its reputation as being one of “the” places to live. Its shabby chic elegance is enhanced by the long waiting list to rent apartments, despite the high turnover rate of tenants. Acceptance into the Manor seems to virtually guarantee success…at least, financial success, and at least, for a time. To those who claim the Manor is haunted by the souls of its previous tenants, and about the stories of ghostly children crying in the night, a black dog with burning red eyes that lurks in the garden, of doors that won’t stay closed and girls with bleeding eyes who appear behind you in the mirror…the Tenant Association Members scoff. The failed marriages and high death rate is not so easy to ignore or explain away…but rest assured, they will try.

And do you really care if the building is haunted, when it really is “the” place to live?

Welcome to Morningstar Manor, where all your dreams come true…and most of your nightmares, too.

Interested in applying for membership to rent in the area’s foremost luxury building? Merely read thoroughly the Tenant Code and rules, (and we mean READ THE RULES first, please...if you feel you can't comply, please don't apply) fill out your rental application, and send it to the Building Committee.

Halcyon Halls: Original Supernatural PB game

What if they were real?
The myths and legends.
The things that go bump in the night.
What if they were just like you?
Since the dawn of time they've been blamed for all of life's oddities. A strange noise? It must be a ghost. Pets mangled and eaten? Maybe a werewolf got them. That pale man that never ventures out in the day? A vampire, surely. Children behaving badly must be changelings, and that table had to have been forced into your path by a mischievous sprite, now giggling at your misfortune.

The list goes on. For each being, there are hundreds of tales, most pure delusion of course, though much of it based in fact.

From Nessie and Sasquatch to the Bermuda Triangle and the Land of Mu, our world is filled with the unattainable, the unexplainable... that which we call Myth, or Legend.

Yet, like the Will O' the Wisp, or the ghost breath that sends a shiver down your spine, the truth tugs softly at our conscience. Whispers in the dark of a boogeyman in the shadows, or a fairy spinning gossamer tales in the corners of your mind. They are real. And in so many ways... they are just like you. They work. They feed. They even have children. And just like humans, those children go to school.

School however, isn’t always as just classes and homework. Strange old castles often have far more lurking about them than is so readily apparent. Ancient curses have been set loose on the school. Memory loss. Sickness. Power switching... Was it an accident? Or are more sinister plans afoot? Unanswered questions abound as the students and staff first try and understand exactly what has happened to them...

Welcome to Halcyon Halls.
We're changing the future one myth at a time.

Time of the Equestdorian: Original Fantasy RPG

TIME OF THE EQUESTDORIAN

Equestdor is at the brink of war. There is no doubt. The elves, they know it. The Humans, they feel it. All the creatures of Equestdor quake beneath the weight of the impending, forbidden Prophesy. The Prophesy of the Equestdorian, messengers of the Gods, who come from all corners of the earth to defeat the Kingdom of Rebels and defend the Kingdoms of the Gods. It is a riotous prophesy, many have risen up and died for its words already. The world of Equestdor, however, still sits in wonderment. Who are the Kingdom of Rebels, and who are the Kingdoms of the Gods?

You see the vast lands unoccupied by civilized man, what kingdom of people could inhabit such a ravenous landscape but the Equenos. Each man, woman, and child must band close together here. Each man, and male child must know their sword and horse like another appendage. Each creature must fight and kill to survive the persecution and hardships. One such example is the King, more of a tribal lord really, of this country. Scullar, a rough and rather interesting character to come across, a banished king of Escorte and a banished General of Woseqa, was ambushed on his way to transfer his one and only daughter to her arranged husband, King Crystik of the Aramanthe. Little does the rest of the world know, both are legendary Equestdorians.

Aramanthe, forests and small fields with a mountain at their back, is a place of myth, lore, wonder, and bloodshed from the city of Elves. You would not think it now, under the reign of Crystik, but it has seen much civil war over the attack on the Equenos. Crystik now awaits his queen, his status as an Equestdorian still only a murmur of curiosity in his people, and his eyes are set fervently on the Wosequa. He seeks to undermine them, to stop the executions, to put an end to the misunderstanding of King Brane.

Woseqa, the lands of plenty, farmers and under the usual monarchy, the lot of them. Courts, Balls, Banquets, and festivals all underneath the king who never seems to sleep. King Brane, a rather smart yet trust-blind individual, is a man who seeks truth in what has happened in the past of his lineage. His search is only interrupted by the unlikely love of Asmeralda. She is the apple of his eyes, but it is no wonder that there is some connection between this land of fertility and the deserts that threaten to overcome it. Asmeralda, sweethearted young woman of the people's admiration, is the daughter of the very man the world loves to hate. Nasa of Escorte. He is set to execute Scullar and another some Equenos men, wanted for the betrayal of Woseqa. He wonders at this and the patterns of the history books make him curious of to what really happened that fateful day that the Equenos were banished.

Sands, Dunes, and Death. Escorte is a ravaged landscape, jealous of the greenery in Aramanthe, envious of the plenty growing in Woseqa, and lusting for the blood of the Equenos. Nothing is safe from its barreness and hunger for power. If the land itself isn't foreboding enough, it's former ruler is. Nasa, wraith king and bane of Equestdor, bears the ring that is key to all the suffering and torture in both his and other lands too. The world fears him, him and his adopted son Soar. He is behind the whole of the Equestdorian death sentence and even if he shall fall. Soar will rule with an equally as icy claw. Woseqa is the only country with even a shaky alliance here, but the Pirates watch him closely nonetheless. Now the Escorte kingdom is run by a group of greedy advisors who seek to squeeze every penny out of the peasants.

Pirates, bands of ruthless men and even women who never thought loyalty were something expendable. They ravage the seas and shores of Equestdor with their plundering and reckless. They are troublesome, but if you do find yourself on the pursuit, do not follow them into the sea. Like sirens of the waves rather than the shores, they coerce the brash and arrogant onto the waves and take what is brought to them. This is their home country, perhaps even more wild and unforgiving than the lands of the Equenos. The only reason they pause for now is their beloved, trusted even, Captain Ezra has been taken captive and it is far too far inland for them to be of real substantial use. Where they will ally themselves is up to fate and godly intervention. The question still stands. Who will the gods send them to?

Where do you stand in this final battle? With the band of brotherhood in the Equenos or the mysterious Aramanthe Elves? Or perhaps the brave and noble knights of Woseqa suit your tastes even more? Will you submit to the darkness of Escorte’s political turmoil or be a rowdy rangy pirate? Will you help the Equestdorians save Equestdor or will you defeat them? Even the smallest peasant can change the world in the TIME OF THE EQUESTDORIAN.
