After the Fireworks Who: Jason, open Where: Half a mile from the mall, at the mall, past the mall, back to the mall. When: Midnightish
Notes: Completed/closed. Jason tries to cause some trouble by chasing Peter away from Ashley and Olena's shelter. When he sees Olena headed toward the shelter, he follows her. There is a brief confrontation, she accuses him of being lonely, and he denies it. After leaving Olena, Jason heads to stalk the mall.
After Jason had left the mall, he'd scribbled a note and shoved it in with the others before pacing around his small "home". He was agitated and angry and honestly, a little afraid.
He thought about the people he'd seen there, and he was sure all of them were like him. That they had powers. How else could they have survived. He wondered what kind of powers though, and if he should do something. His hands balled into fists; his arms swung loosely at his sides as he paced. The girls had been there. The ones from before. They were going to rob him, weren't they? And now they had friends. Lots of friends.
They were probably all coming for him.
He had to do something to make them not come after him. Something to distract them.
But what?
He remembered the horse from the first time he'd met the girls ... but the horse hadn't been at the big gathering. So he was out there, somewhere.
Maybe he'd let the horse go. That would be a distraction. Wouldn't it?
Grinning, Jason unlocked his door and trotted out into the darkness. He passed by the mall, close to it, and he paused for a couple of minutes to gaze through the walls and see if he could spot anyone inside ... to see how many of them were there before he moved past the mall. The horse couldn't be far, and it wasn't long before he spotted him past a couple of buildings.
Naked and invisible, Jason approached the horse, looking for whatever kept him tied there. He found the clip on the halter and undid it, grinning as he slapped the spooked horse on the rump. He turned to watch the horse bolt, and once he was convinced the horse was running - away from the mall - Jason considered his work done.
Now, they'd all go look for the horse, and leave him alone.
Of course ... they had to find out about the missing horse, and Jason saw the first flaw in his plan.
Scowling, he made his way back to the mall. Standing outside, he let his focus shift, and he watched the people inside.
