Jason frowned, then softened his focus to peer through the walls of the building. While he hadn't honestly thought anyone was with her, it made him feel better to check.
"How many of you are there at the mall?" he challenged her. He had a pretty good idea from his earlier spying venture, and he wanted to see if she was the sort to lie and hedge her bets.
His frown deepened before he brought his focus back in; he'd seen the horse heading back. Slowly, and grazing, but heading back all the same. He shifted his attention fully to Olena; if he could get her out of here before the horse made it back, then his plan was still okay. He'd just ... bring the horse somewhere else, later.
