Hello!
The Harry Potter Index now has 60 watchers! :-) So welcome, to all new people.
Recently I changed the category, General Discussion, so that it is now just called General. Everything that was under that heading before can stay there but this means that anything that doesn't fit elsewhere can go there. So if you have a Wizard Rock Asylum, a Meta Asylum, a discussion Asylum, an Asylum making fun of bad fic, or anything else you can think of - it can go in General.
The more people that see The Index, the more useful it becomes, so please please pimp us to your flist or put a link to us on your profile. To do this you can use a banner if you wish, which you can find here: Banner. If you'd like to use a 100 x 50 button as suggested by ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) brimac13 then you can find some amazing ones that she made here. Thank you so much brimac13! :-) I also designed two buttons and you can find them below the cut.

Short description of what this asylum dedicated to: This asylum is a newsletter to inform fans of all new fandom activity regarding the Dark Lord Voldemort or his younger counterpart, Tom Riddle. We list new fics, art, updated works and discussions featuring Voldemort/Tom Riddle at least once every two weeks. Both pairings including Voldemort and gen works are welcome. All ratings are represented. We are the unofficial heir of the lj newsletter darklord_news and also have a mirror community on lj under the same name.

In order to combat fandom fractionalizing, this comm brings it all together ... as long as it has to do with Cedric. Fiction? Any pairing welcome here (het or slash) -- or none. Any rating, any length. Visual art? Same deal. Discussion? Have at it. One-stop shopping for Cedric.

Short description of what this asylum dedicated to: Springsmut is the annual springtime Harry Potter Rarepair Exchange. You'll find het, slash (f/f and m/m), incest, cross-gen, bitextuality, threesomes, moresomes - kinks and squicks of all kinds. Our community sub-title is 'Cause baby we were born to porn' for a reason! However, the one thing that you won't find are popular pairings, as the idea is to not only create lots of fun porn - both art and fic - for the participants and our viewers, but to create variety.

Asylum to be added: snapeartcontest
Short description of what this asylum dedicated to: snapeartcontest is a bunch of people drawing 'Snapish' versions of famous paintings, HP situations, monthly themes, and whatever strikes our fancy. Although the word "art" is in the title and our monthly activities are billed as contests, there is little competition and being funny is valued more than artistic talent. Members are a friendly group who share an interest in poking fun at Severus Snape and/or using his image to create visual humor. We generally encourage use of an online painting program, ArtPad. Everyone is welcome.

Mod, if you feel this too should be archived/indexed as a HP asylum (given that HP is represented in its multi-fandomness...), let me know and I can either edit this entry to include it or post a new one for it...
