Dearly beloved, we are gathered- wait, what? Oh. Right. Sorry. Wrong show.
Ahem. Tonight we celebrate the Fool. All those who were brave and daft enough to join a festival where they had to show the world what they could or could not do. Some of our Fools showed their hidden talents; some proved their insanity. Some faltered. Some flew. Many sacrificed hours; others erasers, wigs, and string; a couple their dignity. A few went completely nuts; one almost set her house on fire. But all are wieners winners here tonight.
We have many categories of awards here at hp_april_fools, but the pinnacle, the top of each category ears the most coveted of all Fandom, and perhaps the world: the revered Golden Squid.

More erasing and redrawing post-beta and even MORE coloring. Then futzing about with the scanned copy until the color SHOWED UP. Computer Paper, #2 Pencil, Colored Pencils for coloring.

Summary/Notes: Dumbledore’s announcement of Snape’s status as a spy for the Order wasn’t met with a demand for evidence, suggesting he’d already been cleared. People go to Azkaban even to wait for trial. The prompt was ‘a new professor seeks comfort,’ but comfort isn’t something they really believe in.

I discarded versions done with pastels and pen.

Author/Artist's Notes: A bit further explanation: Draco's head is turned away in refusal, not because Harry hit him. The strap Harry is holding is, at this point, only a threat.
Photo references used like you wouldn't believe! The window + curtains is the only part without reference *G*
