- Harry got the snitch, risking his life and almost crashing to the ground at high speed. Regulus pulled back because he says no game his worth that much.
- Savannah flew like a possessed woman and yelled at anyone who missed.
- This is set right after the game

"Of course she does," Ron said, automatically searching for and finding Hermione in the crowd. He grinned at her when she caught his eye, then turned his attention back to Al. There was something in his tone and expression when he mentioned Molly, but Ron wasn't sure what to make of it. "Yeah, well, Mum has had years and years of practice with seven kids who all enjoy getting into various kinds of trouble. You can't beat those instincts."

Ron grinned. "You must along great with Percy. He always tried to work too, though we never let him. Bullied him into more than one family activity over the years. Otherwise, he'd have stayed in his room debating himself about cauldron bottoms." Ron loved his brother, but Percy could be single-minded to the extreme and needed them to get him into the mix of things every once in a while.

"I know Jamie was a Chaser, but what position did your sister play?"

Grandma Molly's instincts were legend, that much was true. Al nodded, looking at his shoes.

"Uncle, Uncle Percy is, yeah, we talked about Ministry stuff, a lot." Percy hadn't bothered with him much when he was young, but the moment he got his job they'd finally had something to talk about. It wasn't all that much, but it was something.

"Lilu played Keeper. She, she was brilliant. Could have, um, gone pro. Don't think she, uh, wanted to, um, follow, follow in Mums footsteps though."

"Percy loves the Ministry, that's for sure." Ron and Percy had grown closer over the last couple years, mostly through mutual determination to keep George from spiraling, and he hoped that had continued as they got older. "I'd ask if he was still obsessed with cauldron bottoms, but I know the answer. And yes, yes, I know they're important, you don't have to try to convince me."

Ron beamed. "Took after her old Uncle Ron then. Good for her." he frowned a little about not wanting to follow in Ginny's footsteps, but didn't follow-up on it.

"So, if not Quidditch, what are you into? Play Chess any? Please tell me one of you finally gave me a run for my money."

Albus laughed, small but genuine.

"I don't, um, cauldron bottoms might be important but, uh, I don't actually think they're, they're interesting."

Al nodded, wondering why Uncle Ron's smile slipped for a moment. Maybe because Lily didn't go pro. He'd been disappointed the last time he found out too.

"Uh, chess is good, yeah." They'd played together a few times, which made up a lot of his best memories from the Burrow. "I'm, uh, still not as good as you though."

Ron gave Al an exaggerated look of relief. "Thank Merlin. I don't think I remember enough about cauldron bottoms to have more of this conversation, but I want you to know I would have tried if it was something that interested you." He wanted to get to know his future self's family, cauldron bottoms and all.

"Well, we'll have to have a game then. You might have an advantage, having played with a me that has twenty extra years of experience," Ron pointed out, excited as always about having a proper challenge when it came to Chess. "If we played often, you might be close to as good as I am now."

"Well, we'll have to change that this time around." Ron wondered what his future self had been like if he hadn't made time for chess with his nephew. Still, Al was smiling now and Ron could tell it was a genuine one.

"Brilliant. How about tomorrow night? We can make it a weekly tradition maybe." Ron liked the idea of that; starting new traditions with new family members. "Think about it and let me know. For now, you go congratulate Jamie, and I'll go see what Hermione was reading."

He grinned, clapped Al on the back, and headed off to see a girl about a book.
