The Room of Requirement has been set-up for a lively party. There's food (and cake!) thanks to the House-elves, and a surprisingly generous assortment of alcohol. Kirley has rigged up a music system to play a variety of music (heavy on the Weird Sisters obviously, but the RoR had a bunch of albums that had been left by various students throughout the ages so there's an eclectic mix). A dance space has been cleared, and there are little sitting areas arranged for more private moments--lots of cushions and pillows strewn about to make little nests, some squashy armchairs, etc. It's very clearly been sourced from all over the castle, and from items that had been left by students/faculty/professors through decades so the styles are all over the place. Kirley says it's not the Bubble Palace, but it's the best he could do on short notice.

Distressed would have felt like an understatement. But Cho was older, wiser ( maybe ), and less clumsy about controlling her emotions. Enough, at least, that while her features were about as subtle as the Vegas Strip, making a blubbering mess of a scene wasn't so likely. Not in company, anyway.

"No," she replied distractedly, "I was at home—"

Cho swallowed, dark head turning and voice hitching. "I don't recall RSVPing a school reunion."

Her humor was as pale as the rest of her.

Oh.

Albus almost winced. This was probably not the ideal environment to welcome a new arrival, with several not-so-dead and incorrectly aged people all swanning around one room, quite a few of them having consumed a generous amount of alcohol.

"No, I imagine not." He offered her a small smile for her weak attempt at humour. "Here, why dont you sit down. I'll do my best to explain..."

Looking around, Albus located a nearby couple of chairs which looked like they had been stolen from one of the more uncomfortable classroom, and gestured towards them. "What's your name?"

	This was preferable to a wandering search, at least. Besides, most everyone was preoccupied with whooping it up, making her chances of becoming any center of attention unlikely. Count the small blessings. Deflating into one of those offered chairs, she felt the exhaustion of too much all at once tug at her bones. "Cho Chang." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Albus settled into the second chair with a sigh. This part was never particularly enjoyable, but he supposed at least Miss Chang had stumbled across people. He and Kirley had wandered the halls for a good while before they'd realised what was going on.

"Its a pleasure, Miss Chang. Would you like a drink? Water, perhaps, or something stronger?"

He sighed, settling forward in the chair with his long fingers interlocked between his knees. Where to start?

"My name's Albus." It seemed as good a beginning as any. "And this is Hogwarts, as you said. I'm very sorry to have to break it to you, but we believe the castle has been... summoning people, so to speak. And not just from across the world but across time. The year is currently 2038."

	Cho curled her manicure over her denim clad knees, quietly shaking off any refreshment for the time being. First things first — information. Preferably something simple, but she wasn't holding her breath. Case in point: Summoning? Across time? 2038? "Your name is Albus . . . ?" she hastily asked, voice soft. "As in Dumbledore?" It was ridiculous, really. That out of everything he had just said, that was what she'd chosen to focus on. Perhaps the rest of it was just too much. As if was, Albus settled back in his chair and looked at her.

"I'm afraid so," he sighed. "Like I said, there are a lot of people here from all across time. It was 1910 before I arrived here."

Albus hesitated, rubbing the knot of gnarled bone on the bridge of his nose. He supposed he may as well continue. "There has been a.. pandemic of sorts. There was some experimental magic regarding reproduction and it went a little... wrong. I'm very sorry but it appears wizarding Britain has been wiped out, and we are here to... rebuild, I suppose."
