RP: Party!
Who: Everyone!
When: 8pm onward, 13 March
Where: The Room of Requirement
What:PARTY!

The Room of Requirement has been set-up for a lively party. There's food (and cake!) thanks to the House-elves, and a surprisingly generous assortment of alcohol. Kirley has rigged up a music system to play a variety of music (heavy on the Weird Sisters obviously, but the RoR had a bunch of albums that had been left by various students throughout the ages so there's an eclectic mix). A dance space has been cleared, and there are little sitting areas arranged for more private moments--lots of cushions and pillows strewn about to make little nests, some squashy armchairs, etc. It's very clearly been sourced from all over the castle, and from items that had been left by students/faculty/professors through decades so the styles are all over the place. Kirley says it's not the Bubble Palace, but it's the best he could do on short notice.

"I have no idea what that means but yay!" she said, grinning. "You look hot yourself. Thanks for the help. I'm sure Dad appreciated it. Not that he'd say, but he appreciates anything that makes him look good" she said laughing.

Savannah waved a hand. "Don't worry about it. You can keep it. I'm so used to having a few on my wrist. They always end up breaking when I'm flying and therefore I need extras." She grinned. "I can just imagine Hogwarts dealing with the entire band, but who knows right? A few more Quidditch players wouldn't go amiss. I'd love to be able to train again. Properly I mean."

She sighed before shaking her head. "Look at me, all cranky at a party. How are you? How is 2038 treating you? I know, we haven't seen much, but I'm sure eventually we'll get to go out and it'll be awesome."

"You like learn how to cook and make baskets but also how to do camping, outdoorsy shit so you're always prepared," Glenda grinned broadly. She'd never been one herself but wasn't that obvious? She tied her hair back, giving it a good shake to make sure it was nice and tight. Excellent! "Oh, trust me, he'll show me all his thanks later," she probably shouldn't have said that as lewdly as she had to his daughter but whatever.

"I'm sure there's got to be more quidditch players around here. Have you asked for pick-ups? Snitchless, two chasers, one beater, and a keeper per team? Or neutral keeper, the one for both sides. Half field," and now she was planning. Of course, she wasn't a player but she knew enough from her time doing the announcing. Apparently, she was not too drunk to talk quidditch.

Glenda shrugged slightly, casually moving to tuck an arm through Savannah's, "I'm bored as Hell, honestly. Kind of want to sneak out and raid WWN headquarters and see what mysteries are there." There might have been something - though highly censored.

"Do you not have magic?" Savannah asked, confused. "Can't you just apparate somewhere and get those things?" She liked the outdoors. She played Quidditch under all weather conditions, but she didn't understand why she had to camp. That occupied her mind more than the rest. In fact, she rolled her eyes. "I've seen and read it all. Nothing he shows will be a surprise." It was weird and possibly unhealthy, but she had grown up with the band and they were all crazy. So was her Mum, because she saw nothing wrong with raising a child on the road.

Savannah made a face. "I meant real Quidditch players, not the ones who fancy themselves players because they were on the school team once upon a time. No matter how good the Weasleys tell you they are, they aren't. It's like asking Dad to sing with someone who was a member of the school choir. Besides, it's not just the game. It's the daily training that's missing. The constant flying and exercising."

She laughed. "You'll find it empty. We've already covered Hogsmeade and London. The house-elves have brought everything here. Fourth floor, research department, apparently. You might have to deal with Regulus and Remus. They have technically taken over."

She laughed brightly, arching an eyebrow, "It's for Muggle girls. You know, those strange, mysterious people without magic?" Her tone was teasing. It was funny how people in the wizarding community just forgot those existed sometimes. Glenda decided not to comment on the interesting father-daughter relationship going on.

But her laughter continued as she seemingly 'insulted' (not really) Savannah's profession. "You're going to have to take what the castle gives you, I'm afraid. Maybe you can turn them into real players eventually. You'll be the only team in wizarding Britain." The lack of competition would probably bother Savannah even more - she didn't seem to be the type who liked things handed to her on a silver platter.

Glenda frowned slightly, "I wonder if that includes the equipment. Using it to listen in on international wizarding radio might be interesting." Some of the signals would have to be boosted, she knew, and then it would be a matter of finding whoever spoke certain languages but--it would probably be seen as a total waste of time. She exhaled heavily, frown deepening.

"Oh, my mind would have never gone there. I don't know many of them in the Quidditch world, and besides, we need to be careful to go into the Muggle world with all the cameras they have," she said with a shrug.

"I can still train by myself, but I think I'd rather train than play like this and cry that I don't have a career anymore," she said with a sigh. She wasn't sure that playing with amateurs was better than not playing, because then she knew what she had lost.

She opened her mouth and then closed it again. "I have no clue. In fact I'm curious to see if they got that magical telly to work. That would be cool. You should ask them, though. It's better to know than not to know."

Glenda shook her head slightly, letting it drop. It wasn't that difficult to manage in the Muggle world but then, she had an advantage, didn't she? She knew because she was Muggleborn.

"You don't actually know how good any of them are, either," she noted lightly with a faint smile, "If anything, a spring game would lighten the mood a bit more than this party." Kirley had done his best but not everyone liked this sort of event. Practically everyone loved quidditch.

Magical telly? That was brilliant. She wondered what sort of shows they had but if it wasn't working, it wouldn't entirely matter. "I think I will. Being able to listen to the news - even the adverts - might help out. If anything, at least it's something I'm well versed in."

Savannah chuckled. "It doesn't matter, does it? Give me another month here and I won't be good. If they haven't played professionally in ever, they can't be any good." She certainly wouldn't offer to organize a game, but maybe she'd play. She'd see.

"I think you're right. I didn't even think of that. I thought of the radio here." She grinned. "You can become communication person or PR or whatever title the Ministry has." She nodded to the dance work. "What do you say? Should we?"
