The rosary that Pansy had been given by her governess for her conformation was well worn, and comforting as Pansy slowly ran them through her fingers. Her heart and soul were troubled. It was very hard to balance her ambition as a royal and her convictions as a good, Christian woman. She had acted in ways that were jealous, spiteful and even hateful toward her fiance's mistress. Any sane person could understand her reasoning, but she had found that the more she behaved in such ways, the more she alienated Marcus and felt like she would be no fitting queen for Ireland.
Her heart was so heavy she could not sleep, hence why she sent out the missive to the local priest. She found Father Cormac to be personable and understanding. He had once lived the courtly life, and knew that it could be a snare upon ones convictions. She was hoping to unburden her heart tonight, and also possibly get some advice on a more Christian way to approach this crisis. She even felt guilty for Gwen's accident, though she truly had no idea that it had been done in her name.
She continued to run the rosary between her fingers until her guard announced that Father Cormac had arrived.
