His lips turned up into a small smile as her mind turned to charity. "There are many in need. Orphanages, hospitals, slums and places where the poor linger in hunger and illness. They see so little of those who rule them, who are duty-bound to take care of them."
Then his face brightened as he had an idea. "I would like to think that we are friends, you and I," he began with a nod. "If you would allow me, I would be your guide. Together, we could visit them all, minister to their wounded bodies and souls. I already make the occasional trek to see those who would not otherwise be able to come to mass or gain access to services that would help them. Once a week, perhaps? After all, why go to a single orphanage or school when you could go to them all, and share the abundance of your love and compassion with them?"
