Tracey & Draco
WHO: Draco Malfoy & Tracey Davis
WHAT: Draco is trying to be a good big brother type.
WHERE: The Potter home.
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
RATING: PG
Draco realized he wanted a little girl early into his stay in the village, but having his housemate in first year form wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Still, he wasn't going to leave Tracey to her own devices even if they were now stuck living with Harry Potter. He wasn't even going to think on the irony too much. His head would surely explode if he analyzed all the circumstances leading up to Potter's invitation. Instead, Draco focused on making sure Tracey went to school, ate properly, went to bed at a reasonable hour, and, basically, didn't cause too much trouble. First year and all.
Still, he couldn't help wondering when she'd return to normal. He missed his friend, sure, but he also wanted to leave the Potters. He adored Lily Luna, but he never thought he'd share a house with her dad. It wasn't bad or even too terribly awkward, but Draco had a feeling Harry wouldn't want him as a permanent house-guest.
However, since he didn't want to uproot Tracey again, he was stuck there for the present. He was doing his best to keep Tracey entertained and out of the small family's way, but he didn't grow up around little girls. What did they like to do? Was Tracey the type to like dolls? Pansy had liked dolls, didn't she? Draco wasn't sure, but when he noticed her drawing, he settled for buying her some fresh parchment and colored quills.
"I have a present for you," he announced as he tinkered around the kitchen. He cooked a bit, but he still largely existed on take-away from the restaurants. He picked up sandwiches and chips, sincerely hoping Tracey would enjoy his selections. "But first things first." He placed the plate in front of her and looked at her anxiously.
