For all his proper upbringing, Draco couldn't say he related to what she said. He was allowed whatever toys he wanted. If anything, his parents likely sheltered him a bit too much from their world. He also couldn't understand the whole fixation with weight that birds had.
The knot in his stomach was quite evident. He felt horrible for his former housemate. "My parents told me I shouldn't do some things," he started slowly, trying to find some way to reach middle ground, "But, trust me when I say you couldn't be ugly if you tried." He moved the chips away from her. "We could all likely do with some vegetables though. Only for healthy reasons, not that weight business." He tapped the quills. "You are a good drawer too. You should keep it up. Maybe make a job of it one day." He hated thinking of any child feeling limited by her parents.
