WHO: Arianna Dumbledore & Severus Snape
WHEN: 20 October, Four P.M.
WHERE: Castle Grounds
WHAT: Arianna feels the need to put Mister Snape's mind at ease regarding her recent outburst.
RATING: G/PG (depends on detail)
STATUS: Closed//Incomplete
Arianna wrapped her shawl tightly around her shoulders as she made her way through the castle. It was coming on four, and she wanted to be in the courtyard before Mister Snape arrived. She had asked him here, and she did not want to keep him waiting. She knew he, as the town's potions master, was a busy man; his time was more precious than hers. She had left a note for Helena in their room, telling her friend where she was going and what she was going to do, in case her friend began to wonder. She also knew that she would need a bit of comfort after this conversation.
She was not afraid of Mister Snape. He was intense, yes, but he was nothing but kind to her. Arianna knew that his words the other day were not from a mean place. He was doing as he had done since she arrived; he was looking out for her. She knew she should have heeded him sooner. Doing so would have saved Helena from her minor burns. Arianna had to stop several times and force herself to breathe. She could feel her anxiety levels rising, and it would not do for her to begin their meeting a nervous mess. She was going to tell him her secrets, and that terrified her. What if he hated her? What if he thought she was a monster? Helena had not thought these things, nor had her mother. Still, Arianna was afraid.
When she finally exited the castle, she stood with her face to the weak sunlight and took a deep breath of the fresh, crisp air. She settled herself on the steps to wait. She had not planned what she would say to him, and she knew it would have to start with her comment about feeling like she was changing. She did not know what it was about this place, but she was beginning to feel more connected to everything. She was not lost in her mind, and her thoughts no longer flitted through her mind. Lost in her thoughts, she did not notice when Mister Snape approached until he was standing directly in front of her. Blushing at her forgotten manners, Arianna quickly stood from the steps, curtsied, and murmured, "Hello, sir. I hope you are well."
