Where: Kick-Ass Comics, Lower East Side
When: Wednesday afternoon, evening
Warnings: Laurie's attitude and mouth
Laurie Moore was in a foul mood. A tragically vampiric foul mood.
Talking with fangs had given her a lisp, her skin was ridiculously luminous, she couldn't do a damn thing with her hair, and perhaps most telling of all was the fact that Peter had been mocking her ever since she 'turned' and she hadn't done a single thing to stop him. For probably the first time in her life, Laurie was scared. She knew nothing about the Twilight vampires, deliberately refusing to do any research so she could avoid getting caught up, but with Twilight fever running rampant and sales of the series-related graphic novel at a high poor Laurie got the brunt of it.
"It could be worse, Laurie," Peter smiled as he watched her hauling in boxes she logically had no right to be able to lift. "You could be Bella."
Hissing, her Edward-like fangs quivering as she found herself inexplicably by her brother's side, Laurie took a deep breath to calm down. "Don't even joke about that, and please stop telling people I'm a Twi-hard. I can hear your thoughts, and I'm not amused."
Peter was having difficulty keeping himself from snerking, a giggle escaping from his lips as he avoided her eyes. "You look ridiculous, and if you think I'm volunteering my blood you're mental."
Sitting down, resisting the urge to send her brother through the plate glass window, Laurie just sighed. "I know, alright? And I don't need human blood, apparently I crave animals. Doesn't mean I won't fuck you up, just keep me away from any pets."
The bell over the door of the coffee shop went off, shushing both kids as they assumed the usual positions. Laurie picked up the first issue of Umbrella Academy while Peter sipped his coffee and placed orders for the shop. Maybe someone would buy something not-related to Twlight and Laurie could calm down a little.
