Peter could almost instantly tell that someone immortal had entered the shop and stifferned, not recognizing the power associated with the person. Laurie, on the other hand, was dutifully ignoring the oddly prickling feeling she was getting, keeping her head down and attempting for all the world to simply disappear. Of course, once George introduced himself both appeared to relax slightly, Laurie even going so far as to lower her comic book and wave with a toothless smile. Peter stepped out from behind the counter, shelving a few slim volumes as he acknowledged George's presence with a nod. He had heard about who George was, that he was a Saint who Laurie met when trolling the internet (her words), but felt slightly uncomfortable with the obviously older being's attention being on his sister.
It wasn't that he suspected any weirdness regarding the saint, or that he'd try to convert them, more like he was a little stunned that Laurie hadn't somehow offended the man. Besides, the guy liked Captain America, so he had some redeeming qualities.
"Hi, I'm Peter," he stuck out his hand to shake. "Emo-vampiress is over there, hiding from the light."
