That was a tropical island. Las Vegas will be drier, but that's not a bad barometer of how to dress. Shorts and a t-shirt will fit in very well. If we leave the room, I may introduce you to the fashion horror that is hawaiian shirts.

I imagine it will be enjoyable however it goes.

If they're a horror, why would you wish to introduce me to them?

I would hope so, at least. Given what we apparently charge paying customers for them ... what are the chances of convincing the other owners to offer less expensive accommodations, do you suppose?

It's Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. It's fun to do something I wouldn't do otherwise.

With you, I know so. [...] Unlikely, certainly, but you aren't simply another owner. You're Arthur Pendragon.

I see. Is that the city's motto, or just a popular saying?

Well, I'm sure something could be arranged that would continue to ensure it was a profitable venture. Though I suppose if people come there mainly to gamble, they may be less worried about spending money needlessly in general.

I don't know if it has an official motto. That's definitely a popular slogan. But I'm not American.

Fancy hotels are also really popular with rich people, who want all the fancy things when they travel. But I think it's a great idea to make it an option for a higher proportion of people. People do come to gamble or get married by Elvis or have a wild time in general. It's not a place for moderation, but vacations shouldn't break the bank, even Vegas ones.

Curious. There is not really anything equivalent in my day, the closest I suppose would be the great pilgrimage sites, though the monks and bishops would doubtless scold me for even suggesting such a comparison.

I wouldn't expect there to be. But history doesn't get everything recorded right.

Haha, I'll admit, I had a mental image of monks and bishops in Las Vegas.

I have met a few who would likely enjoy it more than they were supposed to.

Certainly being a woman of God does not mean to give up all mirth and merriment. But that is true of anyone I suppose.
