Journal: What is this thing exactly?
So, I'm back in London less than a week and I find myself at a bar called Finnigans's. Nice enough place, too much meat on the menu if you ask me, but the bartenders were all very good at topping off my glass when I wanted them to, so there's that.

And the server hands me a journal and says it's something to do with the new community here. Seeing as my office will be in the neighborhood, they wanted me to have one, but I don't have any clue what to do with it.

So I guess I'm saying - any Hufflepuffs out there looking for a reunion? Otherwise, I don't quite know what this is for.

Oh yeah, hey Badgers, I'm back in the UK. I know it's been a long time, but I'm sure some of you haven't forgotten my rakish good looks and somewhat difficult-to-understand charm.

Welcome back. Just changed my base of operations to London myself not too long ago.

You'll find a lot of our old classmates dropping in to Finnigans all the time. Catch me when I'm there and I'll buy you a pint for old time's sake.

Looking forward to it, especially if it's on your tab.

Welcome back, as well.

Still the charmer, I see.

You need to kick the vegetarian habit. What would your ancestors, who raised themselves by tooth and nail to the top of the food chain, think about you eating what food eats?

My ancestors I'll worry about when I'm dead, my mother on the other hand can do damage to me now, while I quite enjoy living.

I happen to think my form of charm really gets under people's skins. You just have to get to know me, and then you can't ever get enough, I promise.

Being in a different country than your mother is a big help. I recommend it.

Your definition of charm brings to mind some lingering form of a lingering rash.

I was, for many years, but that got boring. Plus, I missed the homeland and all of that.

Are you telling me I chafe your arse?

Just wait until your mother starts trying to set you up with 'suitable women'.

Oh dear - who's your mother tried to set you up with?

Luckily - and I can't believe I just said that - my parents are Muggle, they could care less and don't know any of 'our kind' anyway.

Luckily for me, mine is in Marseilles, and I no longer am.

What can you say about a woman who buys, and memorizes, religiously, the latest edition of the Social Registry? It is absolutely amazing the amount of brainless fluff in some of the pureblood lines.

Good timing on the coming back to London, then.

Ha! I might have to meet her just for the entertainment value.
