Intelligent rats sound good, until you remember that their intelligence means they can understand things like family and children, that they can feel love and grief and that they have the wits to know how to use their fabric bedding to hang themselves.

	I think intelligence is relative to the species and we ought no place our own views into those that already exist. It isn't natural. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I'm not sure how long intelligent rats have been around for. I don't know if this was an abberation or the norm when they face those kind of circumstances. Maybe this was inevitable, once they started getting smarter. Either way, I don't think it's something that can be stopped anymore. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
