[info]221baker, a Sherlock Holmes group PSL, set directly after Game of Shadows.

Sherlock Holmes, presumed dead after his plunge into the Reichenbach waterfall, was commemorated with a humble-yet-respectful funeral. All of London was forced to accept the death of a man capable of the impossible, and even his dearest (and only) friend, Dr. John Watson, eventually resigned himself to the truth. However, a conspicuous parcel delivered to his residence hints that the game may yet still be afoot.

Irene Adler, also presumed dead, is in hiding after her own close call with death thanks to her own dangerous game with Professor Moriarty. She and John Watson are the only two in London to suspect - nay, hold actual evidence - that Sherlock Holmes may yet be amongst the living, and old habits die hard. What better way to get the attention of a man who thrives on a good mystery than to commit a crime and entice his mind back out into the open?

But this is trivial compared to the concern based around the fact that Moran, Moriarty's top henchman, is still amongst the living and may be scheming to finish the man's job. Even without the king, the pawns may still be at play...
