Would anyone out there be interested in playing a line with the Riddler? Ever since seeing the Dark Knight Rises, I've been back to re-reading the comics and I'd love to find anyone willing to play comicverse or maybe an AU in or around the filmverse. I'm happy to do either and I'm pretty knowledgeable on both. I'd be willing to swing crossovers or whatever. I figured it was worth a shot asking!

Hey all! So this isn't for brainstorming so much as interest-fishing, since I have most of the material written up/coded and I'm just on the fence over whether or not the idea is actually workable.

The concept is an ASoIaF-inspired Harry Potter AU, first war era. Or if you don't know what ASoIaF is, then think of the game as a royalty AU without British titles. The universe itself takes a lot of ideas from ASoIaF (seven united kingdoms, the last heir of a fallen dynasty coming back to take the throne, most of the setup from A Clash of Kings) but would have the added touch of the entire Harry Potter canon. In practice, it would also take ASoIaF's cynical worldview and predeliction for a million million interwoven plots and every character having his/her own agenda.

In practice, it would also be an attempt to make a wizarding royalty game into something other than "rich pretty people relationship drama." Because it's no fun playing rulers if you're not going to have throat-slitting. There would be a heavy focus on power politics, secret alliances, betrayals, war, and everything going to hell in a handbasket. And probably murder. And werewolves.

If I started this game, I would probably keep it as a gpsl to make plotting easier. Would anyone be interested? Does anyone have questions?
