Nontraditional Narratives students should be advised that we will be watching Pulp Fiction in Cinema on Thursday. Being that it is one of the more famous examples of nontraditional narrative in film, extra credit will be offered to any student from 238 who attends the viewing (yes, there will be room enough for all of you.) You'll have an hour's break for lunch between 238 and 320, so you're welcome to traipse next door and leave your belongings in the lecture hall for safekeeping, if you wish, as I'll be in the room during that hour anyway. Seeing as the film is over 3 hours long, you are advised to either bring snacks or bring cash to provide to my dutiful TA in order to acquire pizza. I'm not paid well enough to give you free food, I'm afraid. Please be advised as well that this is a rated 'R' film, and there's a fair bit of blood, violence, and foul language, as is common in any Tarantino film.
Being that the Academy Awards are on Sunday, students in all of my classes have one week left to take advantage of your extra credit essay assignment, regarding the analysis of any of the ten films nominated for their script. You may refer to your syllabus for specific prompt suggestions.

As ever, you're all welcome to sit in on the screenings, if you'd like.
