Well, this is unexpected. I had it on pretty good authority who was responsible for all of that but this is different.

This is something new. And, if I’m right, entirely unrelated. I’m even back on Earth. Different timezone, though. So. Question is - who brought me here? And how?

That’s a shame, I’m not as fond of questions if I haven’t got any answers to go with them.

All of that as in the… very long time it took me to get to where I was going. Or, where I thought I was going. Now I’m here instead.

When you say we’re still striking out - is that to mean there’s more that don’t know who or what brought you here?

I have been told most clearly, and repeatedly, that there are different worlds and this is one of them.

As to how or why we might have found ourselves in this place, answers have been more elusive.

Well, of course there are. Only humans would think there’s no other worlds out there. But this isn’t another world - still just Earth. Only wrong. Something is off.

Whatever transported me here had a hell of a reach but seems like I’m far from the only one. You aren’t from here, either?
