[Early in the morning after this. Charges against Eddie for attacking the police commissioner are dropped because gee it was just bad booze that made him go a little nuts, right?]

It's nice how a good donation seems to solve all my problems. So many forgiving and lovely people in this shining, perfect city.

its so lonely ya dont even know n everyone else thinks nothins wrong. kitty loves b-man not cuz hes perfect but cuz he's NOT, bc they're both ppl you can't get to know. n you n steph try to make things work when she's a bat n you're a bad guy. Eddie if ya live with nothing wrong, if ya live in this fantasy world, nothing has MEANING. not even love!! love is IN SPITE and BECAUSE of everythin that makes up a person, not just BECAUSE

Harl. [Blink.] I couldn't even claim to being in love with Stephanie. [Blink.] We say we are because it looks good, you know, but I don't know what it feels like. [Blink.] That Eddie, the one who attacked Sionis? I've seen that video at least a couple dozen times. He loved Stephanie even though it clearly hurt him. And, I don't where that came from.

I don't know what's going on. I'll help you figure it out. Because I fucking hate it here. [Blink.] But, we gotta be careful. Yelling at people isn't going to work.
