Indulge my curiosity. Have you all come to a decision, yet? Are you prepared to succumb to my rule, or will you require convincing?

Oh I'm not afraid you're going to kill me, Loki. The Hulk would never let that happen. But, I do have a problem with you wanting to rule my world and harm my friends. I'm simply stating that not only are the Hulk's problems inevitably always going to be mine, but my problems become the Hulk's quite quickly as well.

I won't even pretend to try to convince you to join me or any thing else so mundanely typical of the man cast as the villain, but I will say this - you should leave, now, while you can. Not because of me - not because I will wreak some horror on you. You should leave because when your Hulk steps an inch out of line, how long do you think it will take before you find yourself running yet again, hunted and nipped by their dogs until you cannot run another step? You think your friends won't stand for that, but you are wrong. You are an intelligent enough man to know that if the creature strikes someone with just a pound too much pressure, if you slip, as you are bound to do, in your attempt to control it, it can and will kill. And if that person happens to be anyone any of them care for, they will stop at nothing to see you caged and muzzled, just as they wish to do to me. Never fool yourself into thinking they are different, or that you are anything but a tool for them to use as long as they can justify using you. That is the way of every realm, and Earth is no different. When you are no longer a convenient weapon, they will stop at nothing to have you splayed in one of their crude laboratories, too drugged to think, let alone kill them, and watch as they pull your beating heart from your chest and make of you a hundred thousand soldiers without parallel for slaughter.

Projecting a bit aren't we? It's alright, I've been there. But I suppose you know as well as I do not to be welcome on your own planet anymore. The only difference is, Loki, what we do with what we've got left.

You are sorely mistaken if you think I don't know what my friends and acquaintances are capable of. The Hulk has been on both sides of the Avengers more times than you know. He's been used as a weapon time and time again by BOTH sides of many fights. But from one outcast to another, there's nowhere on this planet I can hide where someone won't find me. I'd much rather just step up now while I still have a choice to decide what it is I'm fighting for.

The difference between you and me is that I have no desire to return, while you cling to something that can never be yours. You feign humanity, while I reject the identities people have tried to convince me to adopt for one of my own making.

So you fight for people that you know will betray you? And they call me mad.

You're right but I refuse to stop clinging to it. Because the minute I give up on my humanity and the minute I give up on being Dr. Bruce Banner is the minute that everything I've done was for nothing. I know that I am trustworthy, and I know that I can make my own decisions. Things are always going to be a little bit harder because of the other guy, but I can't let him take over either. And that's exactly what will happen when I give up fighting. Frankly, I know what happens when the Hulk takes over, and it's so much worse than whatever you have cooked up, I can guarantee it.

I don't fight for them I'm not a weapon, I fight with them because we're still fighting for the same thing. I'm as mad as they come, Loki but again, it's what we do with that madness that matters in the end.

I have nothing 'cooked up,' I was simply offering you a way out of the otherwise inevitable endgame to which you have submitted yourself. But I see it doesn't matter to you, what they will do when your 'Hulk' slaughters a few accidental innocents. I only hope you are capable of coping with the guilt when that day comes, and the betrayal, as your friends turn on you.

If you change your mind, my ear is open to you.

Guilt and betrayal is nothing new to me. I seem to have made it this far.

As have I. I don't stand in the midst of people who might capture me, however.

I admire your willingness to cut a swath through them.

It's not willingness, it's fact. I don't ever want it to come to that because in that situation he would just be threatened and fight, and people would get hurt. Doesn't mean it's fair, warranted, or that I'm willing to do it. It just is what it is.

And if you truly wished to never see that day, you would leave. But we circle each other, now, and I am easily bored when I have to say the same things more than once. My offer stands.
