ON THE TRAIN.

Maeko was sitting at a window, occasionally turning to glance out of it. Her attention was focussed mostly on the book in her lap. She was getting a lot better at reading the english, now guessing words from context and jotting them down in a small notebook when she really didn't know.

Misaki stared out the window at the scenery. She had been hoping to sit with Keiichi for this, but...that wasn't going to happen. Leaning back she looked around and noticed Maeko. She waved to her.

"Maeko-chan, do you know when the others are coming?"

The view from the window was, bizarre as such a thing seemed, unnatural to Maeko. She left Iburi so little, it was rare for her to see so much green outside of the skypark. And even then it was green and then a long, long drop rather than stretching out so far. It really did feel like they were on an adventure or something.

"Huh, we saw everyone at the station, right? They're probably just in different carriges." She said, turning to Misaki. "Are you looking forward to it?"

Misaki nodded and glanced at the view as it sped by fast. "It reminds me of that magical boy series. Um... Larry Trotter? It would be fun racing off to some magic castle to learn to do charms and stuff." She motioned to the book she had with her and showed her a pictue.

"See, trying to draw out something based on what I see out the window." Nodding her head she sighed some, "wonder if Keiichi is sitting with Kozue-chan, or Sonozaki-chan..." She tried to shake it off.

"I shouldn't worry much right? I mean, this is supposed to be relaxing so..."

"Those english books? I think I only read the first few..."

"Can you really draw it that accurately? We're moving so fast..." Maeko said, looking out of the window again.

"He might be sitting with Sagaki. I think they get along-" Maeko began, realizing belatedly what Misaki was implying and what it meant she was saying in context.

"-nevermind. Yeah, just relax."

"Yes, they actually got darker as the series went on." Misaki reported. "I was really sad about the cousin that died. I liked her!"

Misaki laughed, "No, I'm no where as good as Shiori-chan is. Hummm, I'm just trying to see if I can catch a pattern or something from the movements. It might be fun to make something while we're there."

The pink haired girl stared for a moment.

"You...you don't think that..." she paused. It did make sense. Both were heroic types, and both seemed invested in things. Then there was Keiichi getting close to Renju. Maybe it wasn't to get close to Renju, rather it was because he wanted to get close to Tom, but couldn't because Tom wouldn't know how to take it.

"So maybe that's why he had so much trouble with Kozue-chan. It makes sense...and hitting Kanaye-senpai was because he really..." she looked at Maeko shocked. " I think you're on to soemthing there."

ON THE BOAT.
[info]daioujou

Kouchisei was getting shut-eye in the best place he could: the deck. The parasol, sound of crashing waves, delightfully warm rays - all of it soothed, lulled, convinced him to sleep in a place he thought was good but was probably the opposite.

He also would never get used to the southern islands. They were too hot, too colourful, and too damn bright.

A person walked along the boat and paused when they saw Kou. He was sleeping, or so the person thought, on the deck. Said person gave a soft chuckle and walked over to him.

There was something missing from him, just the form, and his glasses were on the side. The person pulled out a black washable marker from their pocket and quickly drew a squiggle over an eye, eyelashes and an eye over the other. A mustchache under his nose, Heart on his cheek, Happy face on the other, some random clouds on his forehead, and a little gotee.

Pleased with this the person capped the marker, and put it away as they went on to explore more of the deck.

Toshimi slumped over, leaning on the window. When was the last time that she had been on a long-distance train?
It'd been back in the spring, way back before she'd met anyone on the team...
She realized there were other people nearby and sat up straight, making sure that ever-present smile was fixed where it was supposed to be.

She didn't want to watch the scenery whizzing by, so Toshimi took to observing the other people in her train car.

HE'S ON A BOAT
[info]2dbeauty
2010-02-04 12:25 pm UTC (link)
Calmly, quietly, Toru watched the world go by from the deck of the boat. Never before had he been so far south in his life. Perhaps if it were any other journey, he'd have remained below deck with the MS, playing yet another game, blocking out the world.

But the scenery was beautiful. Nothing like the duller and grayer conditions of Hokkaido. Toru was entranced; had he been in the throes of his shadow's influence, he'd have overlooked this beauty, dismissed it as the "ugly real world." Now he couldn't look away.

And he wouldn't have noticed anybody approach him, such was his rapt fascination.

Misaki walked over and leaned on the rail next to him. She sighed some taking in the sea air. Smiling at Toru she commmented.

"It's beautiful isn't it? You can see for miles around!"

Glancing over at him she grinned, "How are you holding up? I was worried that people were going to get sea sick."

Misaki's arrival startled Toru for a moment, before he settled back to watching the ocean go by. He nodded back, though did not make eye contact.

"Yup... the ocean sure is lovely... I-I've never been this far south before, and never on a boat, either! So... th-this is pretty awesome..."

He shook his head. "I... almost did, earlier. Since I don't travel much. But, I-I remembered something. In USF7, Thunder said that he always took a 'Tranquilizer' item to deal with his motion sickness... so, I, er... I don't have healing items, but I got this tea-flavored candy..." He held up a green package that bulged with little oval candies. "Just having one of these in my mouth calms my stomach. So I'm fine."

Misaki chuckled some and grinned, "Honestly neither have I. I've seen it from the air, but never like this before. You have to be in awe of it. It's so peaceful but it can turn so mean at times."

"Aww, Toru-kun. That was really a smart thing to bring, do you think I can have one too?" She asked with a smile. "I should have brought a few pills to help."

Toru looked at her with some small awe. "I've... never been on a plane, either... how is that?" Now his eyes widened further, with the thrill of adventure. A plane? That was like an airship!

He handed her the little bag. "Sure! Take as many as you want. I'm sure they'll make you feel better, if you've got seasickness!"

Afterwards, he looked back out to the sea. "I'd never thought I'd get to go this far this year... n-not like I get out of the house much, you know?"

"Planes are fun, well as long as it's not bumpy in the air. I don't remember a lot, it was a while ago. But like we flew through the clouds and they were so fluffy. One looked like this castle and another was a car I think. Then when the clouds shifted you could see the land and cars looked like really small toys and like the land was like a huge puzzle. Sort of like a RPSG landscape." Misaki explained as best she could and smiled brightly.

Grinning she took five, "Thank you so much, it'll calm me down I'm sure. I'm so excited though. I went to beaches before with my family. But this is the first time I've been with friends, so I'm really excited." She smiled at him, "Hey Toru-kun, do you think you and I can like build a sand castle or do something together there?"

She watched his eyes and smiled in a warm way, nodding some Misaki looked out, and nodded, "Yeah...it's like...I don't know. It feels like we really are changing and growing. Being around you guys, both the good and the bad...I mean...it's like a quest or something, but real. I don't know if that makes sense but I'm glad one of the people along on the journey is you Toru-kun."

Misaki gave his shoulder a friendly squeeze before looking out at the water.

ON THE BOAT.

Seiko was sat on the deck of the boat with her nose in an English textbook, she sighed, she was still finding this language hard, even working hard she felt she was making little progress. She had however got hold of a tall glass of fresh orange juice so she sipped that and looked around to distract herself from her inability to learn.

She looked around herself at the scenery and smiled to herself, her Mother (after hearing she was going to the 'Satou heir's' beach house) had insisted on sending Seiko on the boat, and repacking most of Seiko's luggage. Seiko was now a little suspicious of what may be lurking in her bags, knowing her mother's odd ideas of what clothes were suitable for her.

She picked up her book again half interested and tried to start reading again.

Tom walked along the deck of the boat. His usual trim figure had somehow changed, and he had a bulge around his midsection. A bulge that seemed to want to move around. When he approached Seiko he looked at the text book, and her expression.

"Is something bothering yu Yukizaki-san?"

Seiko looked up, frowning slightly at her own inability and then at the strange bulge on Tom. Hazarding a guess at what it could be her face broke into a smile and she sighed putting down her book.

"Oh hi Tom." she said carefully dropping the honorific. "I'm just not getting this, I keep trying but English...I just can't get to grips with it. I really want to travel before I go to University, and America has so many things I want to see, but if I can't talk properly then it will be impossible." She sighed again and rubbed her temple, trying not to stare at what Tom was hiding, however tempted she was. She didn't want to draw attention to the stowaway.

"And Tom, it's Seiko, not Yukizaki-san. Remember?" she gave him a wide bright grin.

Tom blushed.

"Oh... right... sorry... uh, Seiko." He reached up to scratch his head. The bulge moved quickly at the sound of another persons voice.

"English is a hard language to get grip on, It was built on the bones of several dialects, so it has a lot of contradictions, and that. The US does have a lot of interesting places." He moved to sit next to her, then decided against it, letting out a breath.

Seiko grinned back at Tom, eying up the bulge with interest, and a reasonably good idea of what it could be.

"Its just a grade that really lets me down as well, it's structure just seems so different..." she tailed off with a sigh and with a great deal of disappointment at herself.

"Its stupid but I want to see a lot of the tourist places. New York, the Grand Canyon, just silly things."

She looked a little embarrassed at her comments, and then frowned very slightly at Tom's movement, did he not want to sit with her? Maybe he thought she was being stupid? Seiko was not used to self doubt so covered by smiling again.

"Are you looking forward to this trip Tom?" she asked, a bit of a lame question, but she didn't have any better ideas.

Kanaye was sleeping on the bus. It was a rather boring bus ride, and he wanted to save all his energy for the boat, so he leaned back, used a spare seat as a pillow, and drifted off to sleep.

Maeko had to excuse herself and leave Misaki eventually. She didn't hate her at all, she was starting to grow fond of her again, but her resistance to Misaki had dropped considerably in the time they'd been apart. Until she managed to build it back up being around her too long was liable to cause rainbow-induced headaches and dizziness.

She sat down next to Kanaye, trying not to disturb him, and returned to her book.

He looked at her book and raised an eyebrow. "What're you reading?" he asked, smiling.
