	Kanaye shook his head and grinned. "No, but someone might drag you away. And they might leave me on a train, so." He shrugged. "It's just caution." He nodded. "Alright, cool! I'm still working on my own English, too, but it's mainly just me asking mom about stuff and reading stuff on the internet. There are a lot of weird English sites out there..." 	Maeko had apparenty meant it, because she didn't let go when Kanaye did. Alternatively it might have just been that moving back in the train seats would be awkward to do and she was putting it off. It was nice, really, for this so be anywhere close to acceptable. It still felt like she was going on an adventure and she was going there with people she loved and who made her feel the closest thing to safe she'd felt in a long time. The whole chain of thought wa comforting (a rare thing for Maeko's chains of thought to be) and she let herself lean her head against Kanaye.

"Um, that english one with all the cute games. I think it's called some long word and then 'afternoon breeze' or something?"

	Maeko didn't respond verbally but there was a silent but very clear addition of you'd better be to her previous statement in the sudden, brief tightenning of her grip "That sounds really dumb." She said, smiling and kissing Kanaye's cheek anyway. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Maeko returned the kiss but broke it quickly, suddenly remembering that train. Public place. She didn't let go but certainly calmed down, resting her head on Kanaye again. 	Kanaye was briefly hurt by her breaking the kiss, but then remembered the weird thing that Maeko had against public displays of affection. He held her and nodded. "Yeah. It's very nice. It was stupid that just something like that was as comforting to her as it was. Only a few months ago she'd thought it an entirely reasonable assumption that she'd never hear someone say something like that in her life.

"Love you, too." She responded after a slight delay.

There was another, longer delay before the other conversation even seemed important enough to be worth responding to in comparison.

"I don't really remember what it was like before. I wasn't very old at the time. I think I wanted to go on the deck by my dad was worried I'd fall in the sea."
