Maeko wanted Gendou to be responsible for this. Because if he was it meant she hadn't beem quite as gulliable in trusting Misaki ever. It still seemed unlikely, Misaki's blaming him seemed like a stunt to avoid the blame herself, but right now he was the only person who was blameable.

So, dammit, he was being blamed.

She'd told him she needed to talk to him about council business and waited at the skypark. The fact that she could see her appartment block from here was why she'd chosen this meeting place and it was a sign of agression, though not one that was likely to be read. This was her territory. Not the school, where Gendou was boss. She could see her house from here and in Maeko's mind that meant she was in charge.

She sat quietly on a bench, checking through her messages, and waited for Gendou to show up.

	Kanaye is, in fact, hanging around somewhere. To be exact, he was wearing a cap, and sitting on another bench, where he could see Maeko. Like heck he was gonna let Gendou hurt Meako anymore! Not that he did earlier, but he didn't really careabout that. (Reply to this)

Gendou let out a long breath. He wasn't dressed in his normal flamboyant outfit, for once he actually looked, *gasp* normal. Wearing a navy t-shirt, a pair of jeans, and loafers, he walked at a slow pace. His hair was tied back in a tail and he had his hands in his pocket.

The world was beautiful, just next semester, winter break, and then graduation for him and Kin, and once that was down, the two were already planning on moving the hell out of Iburi to someplace where Kin's family couldn't find them, and a place where Gendou could actually get to work on his filming more seriously. But for now, he had to focus on the present. Hidden in his shirt, a promise ring from Kin, it had been a gift for their anniversery and he was wearing it close to him for luck.

He passed a guy on the bench wearing a cap, for a second he thought the guy looked familar,but...nah, probably just some college guy that just looked like him.

Gendou looked around, muttering, "Where is she?"

When he finally spotted Maeko, he pulled out his phone and called her, "Oh my my my, what a cute girl doing all alone on a bench. How sad is this, it's summer and shouldn't a lovely young thing be with anyone? Oh...wait...you're pet lap dog isn't around is he? I don't need him snapping. Though, I didn't think that he would let you go five feet without you having to yank on his leash around another guy."

	No. No way. Gendou did not get to condecend at here here. Because she could see her house from here. "That isn't really very funny at all, senpai." Maeko said with forced calmness. "Rumors...What rumors?" He asked nonchalantly walking up and shutting the phone. "I don't know anything about rumors..."

He gave a innocent act, clearly bullshit, then smiled, "Why Maeko-hime, you don't mean those rumors about us do you? Awww they were so sweet, but I'm already taken love, but thank you for starting them. Although I must say that they were very interesting. Tell me," he winked at her, "Did they get your attention? I thought it made for an interesting thing for people to talk about over the lonley summer."

	He was totally 100% NOT respecting her ability to see her house from here! This was unacceptable! "What the hell? I didn't-" Maeko started an outbusrt but forced her temper down again, settling for bowing her head and looking upward with murder in her eyes. "You didn't answer my question. Gendou shrugged, "How should I know and why should I really care. They are amusing though."

He glanced out over the skyline, "You can see the whole city from here, can't you Maekoe-hime. It's a lovely place. So full of life, and goodness, isn't it. And yet...." he scowled some, "People pollute it. They destroy everything with their lies, their own ambitions. Yet we...we have to grow into those sorts of people if we intend to make it in this world."

Gendou looked at her seriously, "Why do you care so much who started them? Don't they help you in the end. You're one of the most talked about people in town right now. It's it better this way."

"That's stupid. Those sorts of people are what created cities in the first place." Maeko said, contrary as always. "They're not polluting anything, there's nothing here they havn't already had a hand in making."

"Why would I not care? They don't help at all, they're a pain. How could you even think something like that is at all helpful?"

If Gendou wasn't always so damn obtuse she would find it more suspicious. "Do you know or not?"

"Really now? Even if it's those people that believe those rumors?" Gendou smiled at her some and waved it off. "They pollute by just existing in some cases, and in other cases they pollute by being useless and no one sees it. Example, that Nayuki fellow, running me over with a bike then being all 'I'll help you out' please. If I ever find out who pitched that ball...Well no matter, he's useful most of the time."

"Because it makes you stand out more doesn't it. And isn't that something that you wanted, just a tad? I mean you little friend and boyfriend stand out more then you. You're always ranked low on popularity lists, this at least will bring you up there, won't it," He grinned and crossed his arms.

"I don't feel like telling. Besides it's more fun to see you squirm like this. Worried that it will hurt your relationship or something? Kanaye's such an idiot that he'll probably just move onto that girl in 1-B Kondo-san. I hear she's pretty easy, and he's well...lets be honest here, not exactly the smartest fish in the barrel. You and I both know you need someone who has more intellgence then that."

Gendou put up his hands. "Use it as...a means of breaking it off with him. Besides then you'll have more time for useful things...like working for the council."

"They can't pollute what's already made by them." Maeko said, shrugging. "If you don't like it go be outside of the city and without the secutity it provides."

"Makes me stand out more? ...don't you even get the implications of what that rumour's about? Why would anyone want to stand out in that way? I'm perfectly happy with being below the radar."

"He will not!" Maeko snapped, possibly a little too sharply, mind suddenly racing. He had been defending Kozue as well, hadn't he, back in Tom's...? "Don't...why would I even want to do that! I already did do that! Shut up and stop talking! And tell me who's been saying it!"
