Oh dear...
Who: Maeko, Smisa
What: I don't even...
Where: Girls' dorm bathrooms.
When: Lunchtime.
Why: Communication issues and also one of them is a shadow.

Maeko vaguely remembered something that Kozue had mentionned about using that room to skip tennis practice. Using it to cut class was probably a little worse. She'd sat down and stared hard at maths handouts and waited for lunch, when she could conceivably sneak back out of school.

Lunch came but not before maths had lost its great mind-focussing elsewhere power and those hand shadows had forcefully stopped her from scratching her hands again. She escaped school with the crowd who were going home for lunch and ran back to the dorm. She dashed into the closest bathroom, she needed to change her bandages again before anything else.

Misaki walked into the room throwing the torn up art book on her old bed and clapping her hands happily. "Oh it feels sooo good to be back in here! I missed it so much."

She went over to her old closet where a few costmes were still in there, "Hey Maeko-chan, let's play dress up? Ahh...You can be the princess and can I be the knight? No...Hummm, oh I know we can both be princes and ride around..."

Misaki's looks darkened some, "If only it was that easy. Just wishing everything away..but it's not..." She took the knife and began slashing up the costumes. "I hate...hate...hate this crap! I should never have made any of it. Then you wouldn't have to hate me!"

She set down the knife, energy spent and sighed, "I just wanted to be there for you Maeko-chan...but the truth is, you only wanted me around to alivate your own guilt. I just hope you can take his clinginess. You're going to need it."

Misaki turned and walked over to Maeko touching her cheek and giveing her a quick kiss on it. "You'll always be my heart Maeko-chan...don't forget that. Ever."

The knife. Grab the knife. Grab the knife.

So she grabbed the knife. And grabbed her key and slammed the door and locked it. It wouldn't do much, the door could be unlocked from the inside even without a key. Maeko hoped that the bandage (and her own ability to tie knots) would be strong enough as she tied the door handle to the one on the other side of the hall to ensure neither door could be openned. And if a door wouldn't budge it couldn't be used to enter Paradise.

The window could still be used as an exit to the room but she'd have a head start, at least.

She fumbled with her phone as she ran, sending a text out for help. Lessons would have started by now but surely some of thier group members were brazen enough to check thier messages in class.

	Not the stairs. Not the stairs. Maeko knew her horror movies well enough to not go for the stairs. There was a fire exit around here somewhere and that would be a better escape route, it led into an open area. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Okay, fine. So some idiot had locked the stupid fire exit. That was a health hazard! And not just in this situation!

Her phone beeped. She recognized the number as Masami's. Okay, so help was on the way, she didn't need to run indefinately.

So she had a knife and a toilet brush and a choice between stairs, locking herself in a bathroom, or Paradise. Suddenly stairs seemed like a muche more valid option.

	Misaki looked distressed now, she was running through the halls calling out loudly in her normal sweet voice, "Maeko-chan, come on. Stop playing. We have class to go to and I don't want to be in trouble. Maeko Chan!" Misaki frowned, "If you don't come out I won't tell you about what I'm going to do to Kanaye-sempai!" Maeko slammed the doors of the other bathrooms as she ran through the hall. At least Misaki couldn't go for the only closed door. She ran into the one that, if all else failed, had a roof below its window and slammed and locked the door behind her. She throught about the possibility of barricading the door somehow but there was nothing really usable for that. It opennind inward so she couldn't even tie the handle again. Though that, she supposed, at least meant the hinges were on this side where Misaki couldn't get to them.

She looked at the knife, mesuring about how long its blade was and reminding herself to stay at least that distance from the door in case Misaki tried to stab through it.

As safe, for now, as she was likely to get, she used the time to elaborate on her previous message.

Kanaye, still running like a madman, looked at Maeko's next message and panicked. He replied [Maeko-chan, are you alright? She didn't hurt you or anything, right?] quickly before starting to climb the stairs. He technically shouldn't BE in the girls dorms, but this is kind of a life or death situation.

He found the correct bathroom and knocked, his back to the bathroom door. "You in there, Maeko-chan?" he asked in a panic. "Don't worry, you'll be safe now." he said, calming down somewhat. "I can't let you die."

Maeko was debating the merits of adding another toilet brush to her collection of weapons but decided there wasn't really much point. She couldn't effectively use three weapons at once (she couldn't really even effectively use one).

Maeko sighed with relief, then for a few panicked seconds considered the possibility of Misaki being able to imitate voices. She openned the window as wide as it went in case a quick escape was needed, readied the knife in one have and gingerly openned and unlocked the door, peeking through.

"Senpai..." She said, poking her head out and peering around. "Did you run into her? I think- I locked her in the room...again. But she could have easily got out of the window, it's on the ground floor..."

And then she remembered the knife and relaxed her grip on it. She didn't need to stab her boyfriend.

Masami broke off from the rest of the group to make a quick stop by her own room in the dorm building. From there she grabbed her katana and, just in case, a shinai. Never knew when that might be handy.

Only a couple seconds later and she was off to the bathroom where Maeko's newest text said she'd be. When she arrived, Kanaye was already there. It seemed Maeko hadn't come out yet, and Misaki's shadow was nowhere to be seen.

"Akuba-senpai? Are you all right? Satou-senpai, have you seen Aoi-san... or rather, Aoi-san's Shadow?" she asked.

Kanaye shook his head. "No. I can't tell if this is a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, no scary psycho chick. On the other hand, scary psycho chick is probably going to show up soon." he said nervously, looking around. "It seems the genre of my life went from action-drama or a horror film. This bodes well for the future." he said, sighing.

Kanaye turned to Maeko. "The important question right now is if you are fine. Did she do anything to you? How was she acting? Are you alright? Do you need me to do anything?" he asked, panicked.

Convinced that this was help arriving and not a trick, Maeko openned the door fully.

"She- she didn't hurt me or anything." Maeko said. The bulk of the incident was currently unimportant right now, she decided. "She had a knife and was making threats so I took away the knife when I got the chance and locked her in my dorm room then sent the message while I had a head start at running away."

Maeko nodded, finally leaving the bathroom and closing the door behind her. If they didn't run into Misaki and the doors were closed then making her look through all the rooms would buy time to get to the butterfly room. She left the toilet brush she'd picked up in there but was still holding the knife.

"I don't think shadows can get in there. It'll be safe." She agreed. She still hadn't re-bandaged her hands but getting out of here alive had priority.

Kanaye looked at the knife and smiled. It was quite pretty, really.

Dear god what the hell was he saying? Kanaye shook his head. Calm down, Kanaye-san, you're alright, Maeko-chan is fine, you get an excuse to beat the crap out of Misaki. Everything's alright. Kanaye managed to calm down and smiled. "Let's go then. We need to hurry before Aoi's shadow manages to get back." he said quickly, grabbing Maeko's hands softly and walking quickly.

Toshimi would have normally been faster but was slowed down by a couple actual coughing bursts midway. She, too, had stopped by her own dorm room for her weapons. She'd taken a leaf out of Tom's book and hidden them under her blazer, although wearing it during the summer was both somewhat suspicious and incredibly uncomfortable.

She'd been keeping alert and looking around corners before going too far, and saw that there was no Shadow around when she came upon the group. Which meant that she could be pleasant. "Hello, everybody," she said with her trademark smile. "Everything seems to be going all right, considering. Where are we headed?"

	There was a sharp BANG as the door to the bathroom flew open out into the hallway and Misaki stood there with a very childish grin on her face. "OH! So you were just going to get everyone together to play, huh Maeko-chan." She looked at the group and giggled, "Oh my I think we have enough to play tag...Now who's going to be it..." Kanaye stared at the...thing that was pretending to be Misaki. If it weren't for Maeko's testimony and the fact that THIS Misaki was...kind of scary, Kanaye really couldn't tell the difference. "I have an idea! Let's play hide and seek. You go hide, and we'll seek you out. Go hide in paradise, we can't find you there!" he said happily, stepping between Maeko and the shadow.

"It's good to see you, Nawanaka-san. We need to gather everyone and go to the butterfly room. There'll be more time to talk then," Masami said, just before the bathroom door broke open.

It was exactly what Masami had been worried about. "...We should fall back for now," she suggested, though she drew her katana even as she spoke. Never could be too safe with Shadows, after all.

"Oh come on now Sempai! REally do you honestly think I'm THAT stupid? I mean, as Maeko-chan told me. I'm really just something that everyone imagins me to be. Not a real person at all, just a wish of what I was, and then your will for me to ignore things about me makes me appear that way to you. Doesn't it..."

She moved close up to Kanaye, running her fingers over her lips, the blood still fresh on it and ran it over his lower lip. "There an inadvertant kiss from Maeko-chan. You should be careful though Sempai, she needs to use a bit of lipgloss, her lips aren't as soft as they look and she tends to bite people when she doesn't like how they kiss."

Kanaye glared at Misaki. The whole mess was started because people thought she was someone else? Then why the hell did she act like she did! She has no right to-

Kanaye shuddered at Misaki's touch and backed away. He didn't mind the blood so much the touch. Now, Kanaye liked to ignore what he didn't like, but he couldn't ignore this. He kicked Misaki as hard as he could, then grabbed Maeko and tried to run away. "Maeko-chan, is there something you aren't telling me?" he asked with a dangerous smile.
