By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: time storms. Twisters, tornados, etc. They are used for travel amongst other things in the miniseries. Share please!

Don't forget that any of the past drabble/drawble prompts are still open if you like, and now that the DVD is released, we're working on some more challenges and other ideas.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: Viewers. We don't know a whole lot about them, but several things were alluded to during the miniseries. Share something about Raw, Kalm or Lylo with us.

Drabble Prompt 7: Time

By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

In light of the fact that this prompt is going up a day late (oops), your challenge is to create a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: time. In the O.Z., people generally speak in terms of "annuals" rather than "years." Is it possible that the O.Z. annual and the Earth year do not exactly coincide in some way? How would people keep time in the O.Z. if either the sun seeder or the anti-sun seeder had come into use? What does "time" mean to the various inhabitants of the O.Z.?

Drabble Prompt 6: Information

By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: information. There are many ways to glean information in the O.Z.; one can pay, blackmail, plant spies, send out mobats, or consult a Viewer. As the sayings go, information is power, but not all information is of equal value. How does the information highway run in the O.Z.?

By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: relationships. Everyone in the miniseries had a relationship of some sort with another character. We have so many options between attraction, family, hatred, chain of command, friendship… why don't you share some of them with us?

Drabble Prompt 3: Longcoats

We've received some great responses to the drabble prompts so far. Keep them coming!

By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: Longcoats. To complement the recent discussion on Cain, how about taking a quick look at Azkadellia's army in the O.Z.? How do the various characters view the Longcoats? What's it like to be a Longcoat? And just what does a Longcoat keep under his long coat, anyway? ::smirk:: Do tell!

Drabble Prompt 2: Magic

While we're waiting to post the first discussion this week, we have a new drabble/drawble challenge. By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: Magic. Unlike most universes we see, magic in the O.Z. seems to not explode (or vice versa) when mixed with technology. However, is it really magic or very good alchemists? What do you consider magic in the Outer Zone?

Drabble Prompt 1: Transportation

We have a few folks gradually joining us here in [info]demilos_wagon. We expect more will find their way soon. In the mean time, we'd like to issue our first drabble/drawble challenge and encourage everyone to start playing along.

By definition, a "drabble" is a work of fiction exactly 100 words in length. Similarly, a "drawble" is a piece of art, generally a simple drawing or sketch, that requires no more than about 20-30 minutes to complete.

Your challenge is to produce a drabble or drawble based on the prompt: Transportation. We've seen some interesting ways to travel in the O.Z., from tornadoes and travel storms, to walking, horses, hot air balloons, and automobiles -- and Demilo's wagon, of course. This leaves you with plenty of options for writing and drawing. Have some fun with this!
