Who: Regulus Black and Florean Fortescue What: Hiding and trying to keep Florean grounded Where: Florean's dorm When: Right after this Rating: PG? possibly PG13? Status: incomplete
Until this day, Regulus had never really understood exactly how much he and Andromeda owed Meaghan for still talking to them after the last incident with Billywigs. While he didn't float, he knew he had been a little ...difficult to deal with? And neither he or Andromeda had been able to keep their mouths closed for anything. Florean wasn't that bad, at least. The floating Regulus could handle, mostly. He'd used his wand to create a sort of harness around the Ravenclaw's waist, and the most difficult thing he'd had to deal with as far as Florean was concerned was dodging corners and swarms of billywigs. Regulus hadn't gotten stung this time, yet, and he hoped he'd be able to manage avoiding them.
No, it was Evan going absolutely insane that he was most worried about. Regulus normally didn't have problems with his cousin, and generally enjoyed spending time with him. But he seemed to have lost any sense of rational thinking and, while he'd never known Evan to be a violent person, Regulus wasn't taking his chances. Judging from that muggleborn professor last time, the billywigs sometimes have weird effects on people.
And so instead of taking Florean to the hospital wing where anyone could get into, instead he'd taken him to the other boy's dorm. The main problem with this was that the hospital wing could help him stop floating. Regulus, however, could not. He was only fifteen, what did he know about healing spells and healing potions? If it wasn't something that had a remedy easily found in the medicine cabinet at home, he had no idea how to treat it. He glanced up at the other boy and grinned. Well, at least some good things happened today, too. "How are you feeling up there? Do you think you can come down at all?" As attractive of a balloon as Florean made, he really would have rather had him a little bit closer to Earth.
