As Draco walked to the Headmaster's office, he was thinking maybe he wasn't so different from his father. He didn't really understand why Lucius kept reaching out, especially after that horrible public letter. But maybe, just maybe, Lucius couldn't easily walk away from his family either. Still, Draco was scared. Maybe Lucius just wanted to yell or take him to Dumstrang or something else equally horrible. Or, Merlin forbid, maybe he'd just take him to Druella like she wanted.

Draco found himself clutching the wand at his side. He wouldn't go anywhere. However, as he neared the door, he rolled his eyes. Like he could take his father. He considered running, but the Inquisitorial Squad member at his side made that difficult. Sighing, he did the only thing he could. He nodded at the surly boy and pushed the door open. His eyes reached Lucius, but he stood stock still.
